I would buy a Coonbuster 20 or a Connbuster belt light. Dad has one that has been used night in and night out and it still out shines my 3 year old Bandit belt light. I think Dad's Coonbuster 20 is about 8 years old or better. He usually gets 3 nights of hunting out of one charge, but depends on where we are hunting.

Cajun Stinger Pro---8 amp hr battery vs. 4 amp hr battery in most all other lights. Twice the burn time.

BRIGHT EYES...

WE'VE GOT A TERMINATOR-21 VOLT. BRIGHT, LASTS ABOUT 20+ ON LOW SIDE.

WE'VE GOT A DOMINATOR 21 VOLT, SUPER BRIGHT, AND LASTS 40+ HOURS ON LOW SIDE. PLUG IT UP SUNDAY MORNING, AND CAN HUNT ALL WEEK AND DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CHARGING IT AGAIN.

I'VE GOT A 10 VOLT ASSASSINATOR, AND IT'S VERY BRIGHT FOR IT'S SIZE. LASTS ABOUT 18 ON LOW SIDE.

I KNOW THAT BRIGHT EYES ARE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. WE WILL BE DEVOTED CUSTOMERS AS LONG AS THEY MAKE EM! LOL.

The lights of similar volt are all about the same as far as brightness and burn time. Personally, I have had the bright eyes 10 volt exterminator, the coonbuster 20 volt, and the valley creek 28 volt belt light.

I would never again get anything higher than a 20 volt again. The 28 may be brighter, but unless you are hunting the redwoods, I really believe a 20 volt light will give you all the juice you need to see a coon that is actually there. I never use a spotlight with mine and on the high side it does just fine.

The 28 is okay, but it weights more and just gets uncomfortably HOT on the high side.

The bright eyes lights are great, but PERSONALLY I don't like the reostat switch. It changes to easy if it rubs against you coat or brush or whatever. The click switch IMO is a better way to go.

Things I would look for are:

20 volt
belt light
light weight
GOOD WARRENTY
click switch

Bobby, take a ride down to Warsaw at Albertsons Sport Shop. They build the Competion Lights there. I got a 20v 2 weeks ago. It is brighter than my Bandit and holds a charge longer. 2 pounds. Their price is as low as any and if you have problems you can drive it to the factory instead of having to ship it.

I have a Bandit 16 & a Bandit 20 and I don't think you can go wrong. I've tried other brands but I won't again.

I just love it when I go to a hunt and someone says, 'I think I see the coon', and I turn on the spotlight of my homemade 18 v light. There's usually no doubt then and most are amased by it.

Bright Eyes

I own a 21 volt Dominator. Its very bright and it will go without a charge longer than any other light I've ever seen. I've hunted two weeks without charging and thats 4 to 5 nights a week. I've never run it dead. On high its as bright as a spotlight. I could'nt be happier with it. Adam

I have a 16+ Blazer and its the best light I have owned. I have only blown 1 bulb in 4 yrs. and I broke it once and they fixed it for free. I left it on top of the dog box and drove off busted it on the road. They didn't even ask what happened to it. I have seen alot of light leave fellows in the dark especially those high voltage lights. I won't buy anything but a Blazer anymore.

The last good light I bought was in about '88,it was a Blazer 8+,and I am still using the cord from it with my Cajun.I had a Bright Eyes Terminator and loved it when I got it,but it gradually got were it wasn't as bright and I sent it back to the factory three times ,but there was no diffrence.Nice people, but the light was never any diffrent after I sent it in,then before.I hunt with a Cajun Stinger + now,and it is alright plenty of burn time and plenty bright, but it has had three cords go bad in less then two years. The cajun guys are great to fix them, but I finally just started using my old Blazer cord.If you buy a good 20 volt light I think you will be happy with the brightness and burn time of most lights, but you might buy two if you hunt hard.
