so everyone is on the same page ill tell you the story i heard about this association. Years ago when this club started up it included guys from throughtout the WHOLE state. Mainly from down by arthur/brooklyn area, amherst area and plymouth area. They agreed on holding the banquet in Green Bay and cliff n seals between plymouth and amherst and give the arthur/brooklyn guys the youth hunt/show. Everything worked out great but everyone got too old they either passed away or just gave it up. Nobody wanted to help with the organization so Dennis Roehrborn took it over and had his neighbors and friends help him out. The banquet stayed in green bay for awhile then moved to the fox cities last year. Prices were extremely high at the supper club they held it at so now its at the mill home supper club just east of kiel this year and thats where its going to be held unless people step up from throughout the whole state and join the club. Instead of complaining every year step up and do something and put your 2 cents in. Lets go through the numbers here Dennis put his time and money into this organization when others looked the other way. He put many miles on his truck and time organizing everything to get different prizes for red, white and blue hunt/show, state hunt/show (which is now a purina event), youth event and banquet. If people want to see change on where everything is held or how its organized call Dennis (920) 207-7442, Robbie Brooks (414) 308-3037 or Ross Schultz (920) 905-1474 and tell them you want to be a part of WCHA. They will ask you for your address, email and phone number to inform you of there upcoming meetings. I figure roughly 300 people from the state of WI entered a dog last year throughout the whole state but why is there only single digits for members? Makes no sense, of them 300 people i bet 275 of them go vote for govenor and president elections so why cant even 1/4 of these 300 people join a organization that supports the Childrens Hospital. You probably know someone that either has been in the children's hospital or know of someones kid that was there. And why should 1 guy drive many miles to get supplies if the club had more members they could split up the mileage and make it easier for everyone. Gas ain't cheap and it wont be for awhile either
The weekends will stay the same but locations will be moving randomly so if you want a say in where its going to be in the years to come join the club and participate. I believe ross said that UKC gave the WCHA 4 extra events every year to play with. So they take them events and are the RED, WHITE AND BLUE and either the youth or state hunt they put in. I know most people have participated and benefited from what this association did so why not step up, include yourself and then everything including the banquet location so there fair for everyone. Now as you are reading this or finished your probably thinking this is a bunch of horse **** or your actually going to step up and and do something to benefit the state.
