1/10 cc per 10 pounds = 7/10 for a 70 pound dog

Yeah, it is, but that's your business! I have been giving 3/10 per 51-100 # dog for years and no heartworms so you figure it out!

I don't know if you could kill a dog with Ivomec, a guy around the road gives his beagles 1cc on the first day of every mounth and they will not get even close to 100 lbs.

for prevention only mix the ivomec down 1part ivomec to 9 parts some kind of chaser then give this mixture at 1 ml(cc) per 15 pounds.

I dilute mine down with proplyene glycol the inactive ingredient in the ivomec bottle so I can mix up a large batch and then store it safely.
If you suspect the dog may have micorfilaria(heartworm larva) then the 1cc per hundred pounds will kill them. Ivomec will not kill adult heartworms but will break the lifecycle.

This is the way I do it also. I even give it to the house dogs that might be every bit of five pounds.

My uncle had a unwanted litter one time years ago. They were full of worms and just for the heck of it he put several drops down each throat and did not care if they all died. They all slicked up real pretty and was a beautiful litter of pups. They were around 4 or 5 weeks old when he did that.

ivomec

I give mine 1 cc and haven't had any problems for years. A buddy of mines dog had caught that new mange mite and the vet told him to give the dog 1 cc per day for 30 days and the dog lived. I wouldn't give mine that per day though.

you start some where and eliminate every thing you
put in it.you got kidneys, liver, etc i ask the same question
it takes 6mth for heart worm to develop so even if you
miss some this dose you have 5 more times to get it right?

If you follow this advice you will end up with one dead dog. If a dog has bad heartworms,3cc is going to kill all the worms at one time and send it through the dogs bloodstream. What do you suppose is going to happen to an animal with a couple ounces of dead worm particles floating around in it?

I have been using Ivomec for over twenty-five years. Do it the same way, (almost) every month.
Mix 1/2 Ivomec with 1/2 olive oil. Most of my average size dogs (50 to 75 lbs.) get 1 cc of the mixture. Larger dogs (75 and up) get 1 and 1/2 cc of the mixture. Jack Russels and pups get a 1/4 to 1/2 cc of the misture.

Have never had a dog that had a reaction and never had a dog with heartworms.

Wrong! It breaks the life cycle. The adult worms will eventualy die off.

this is true but wrong at the same time.... the microflaria reach a stage at 40 days to where the preventative want kill them.... then even tho you dont have heart worms yet you soon will have.... amoxicillin will weaken the females to where they cant reproduce.... then you can treat with a lot safer doze when you need to get one treated
