How old? Super Staked? PRP? Those 3 things effect price as much as anything for many, on the other hand they might not even be considered by others.
The few I have sold were $1500 for 3 year old, rock solid pleasure dogs and I have never had anyone ask for their money back.

Go to the classifieds and watch it for a few days. See what they are priceing dogs like yours at and see what they are selling at. Best price guide you can get. From what little you put on I would guess from $600.00 to $1600.00 depending on it's age and how the market is were you live. If they have to spend 2-3 hundred going to get it then they can't give as much for the dog.

A dog is worth what one man is willing to sell it for and another is willing to pay for it.

Simply price it what you feel it is worth and show it in the woods to anyone that wants to see it go and negotiate from there.

Allways remember, just because you see a dog advertised to sell at a certain price does not mean the dog actually sold for that price when the deal went down. Also, it doesn't even mean that a deal went down at all. It was just advertised. There are 2 ways you can price anything. The first way is to put a big pricetag on it so you can stick your chest out and brag and boast about how fanstastic your dog or car or house or whatever it is is, OR, you can actually price it to sell it.

The things I sell, I usually price according to the reason that I want to sell them, what ever the reason, don't like it,want something new,has a fault I can't stand,or the biggie just plain ol need the money. And think about what you would give for the dog if you were buying it.

The buyer would still be able to back out if he came to try it and it didn't show him what he wanted to see that night. Off the leash I wouldn't give a dollar for one. Unless it was just a pup at pup price. Another way is to put it in the hunts and let the ones there know it is for sale.

I'm picky about my dogs. Biggest thing for me when looking to buy one is honesty. I've went through my share of them lately looking for the right ones. So far in the past year I've bought 6 and went and tried out about a half dozen others and 2 were as decribed. Nothing makes me more upset than driving 5 hours each way to try a dog that's susposed to run and tree its own and then it won't leave your feet when you take it out to see it go. Be honest with yourself and make it easy on everyone. I know personally I'd pay top dollar and wouldn't haggle one bit for a good dog that does what the seller claims it will do.

As stated before age abilty ss and pp paid up make a big differance. I'd pay you a lot of money if she was 2-3 years old or younger paid up and doing what you say she does, I would give you much less if she's 6 and just a pleasure dog (but still a decent amount if she does what you say)

how much would you pay for a dog bred like this and doing what this one is doing? start there....if money was not part of the equation.

That's it. Be fair priced to both parties, but as another posted...a dog (and anything) is worth what somebody will pay for it.

Extreme X sold for a reported $50,000+. Most would say he wasn't worth that much, but he was to the one who bought him!

I was once told by a well known bluetick breeder who shall remain nameless to price the dog very high, you can always come down, and you will get noticed more. He never had a problem selling dogs.

Pricing is the easy part . Its the selling that's tough. Especially in a tough market like now. If he's titled all up the buyer won't care . If he's not titled then they make like it is a big thing. You have to decide what you will take for the dog ,yes. You also need to say to youself that this dog won't have somebdy elses name on the papers unless I have so many dollars in my pocket no matter what kind of objections a buyer might kick around. I just figure he don't want it bad enough. They might buy next week after they tried out some more is likely what happens.

When it comes to a dog like that it is what the dog can make you. He is more worth the price he sold for than most. Figure out what you can win with him in the hunts, then what you can make off of him as a stud and then figure what you can make off of seamon long after he is dead.
They spent a lot of money hauling him around building his reputation. Figure the bill on that and see if they made much selling him at that price.
I think you will find he sold cheap. I have a gyp out of him and I wish I had a dozen of them.
She has a hard enough drive you can correct her on anything and never hurt the drive. To me that is the most trainable dog you can get. She allso has the right treits and instincts to make a heck of a hound.

I bought a hound for 600 that I wouldn't sell for 10,000. Some people just don't know what they have.
