I bought a pair of alpha burly sports. They didnt even last a month. The soles started coming off. I know u hunt as much as I do so I would imagine that you would have the same problem. I posted about it and I wasn't the only person to have this happen.

I would say the lacrosse work boot/wellington with chaps sewn on are the way to go with no more water than we have. Just be sure to put some seam sealer on them once in awhile. They are a little more expensive but well worth the money.

I thought about going back to muck boots but I always wore the ankles out. Then I would start getting blisters on the back of my foot. I wish they would bring back the old lacrosse green boots with the air grip sole and the original wick chaps. I had a pair that lasted well over a year. The boot dry rotted before anything else wore out.

If someone would put Valley Creek chaps on a Dewey boot, I'd be all over that.

I like the muck boots myself. The pair I have now is about 14 months old. The foam in the heel did start wearing out at about 6 or 7 months but since then I have just put on an extra pair of socks and I'm good to go.

the best boots I own and I have lacrosse, muck, and dewey is a pair of bog boots that I had a the lady at Tim's sew chaps on. They are far and away the most comfortable boots I have ever had on my feet. I would pay twice what I did to wear them.

Mucks are the best and longest lasting I've had. If you get one size to big and some blue booties. They also adsorb all the moisture. Heel want wear out as bad with em and when it does the booties protect your heel.

I like muck boots with dans chaps. I would rather walk barefoot through a snake den than wear something those low lifes at tims had anything to do with.

I have a pair of muck boots with hardwood chaps from paul sheffield. I think the boots are muckmaster.
I wore them for three years hunting about 5 or 6 long nights a week. They did start cracking where the ancle bends and something did punch a hole in the side. I put some shoe goo on it and they are good as new. They feel very good, I could wear them all day. I like the chaps too. They are about like Dans.

I wear Lacrosse Grange boots. Won't stop until they quit making them. Couldn't imagine wearing a boot with any kind of insulation in the summer. Super light, comfortable, and last for years.

Muck Boots

I bought a pair of Muck boots with Wick chaps in 05. Between 05 & 09, we hunted 300 days a year. I slowed down a little bit since then due to work, kids & famly but not much. I just noticed a hole in one of them a few months ago, so needless to say I'm gonna buy another pair.
