My wife or I have been with her almost nonstop since last night. Her mood changes back and forth constantly. She seems to be doing good so far though. She is still having a little discharge now and then. This is the first time in alot of years since i've been through this process. My nerve rating is just below the day I got married and when the kids were born...lol
Thanks for all the advice.
From 1 hillbilly to another, I know what you saying about your nerves.... I remember the first time I showed my hound on the bench and I couldn't get her to stack for the life of me......needless to say, we didn't do to well that day. I asked the judge for some pointers and he told me, " I could see how nervous you were....and so could your dog...she was feeding off you"
I'm not telling you anything you probably don't already know....But as special as that momma-to-be is to you and your family, she probably senses your level of anxioty too And believe me, the anticipation of those pups coming is darn nerve-racking....I have a litter due on the 4th of july, and I'm already a basket case !!! But I do my best to talk softly and try to be as cool as i can, with the hopes that it ease her stress level.......
I think you're doing everything right, and I look forward to seeing some pics of those little rascals once they arrive....continue to keep that watchful eye on momma, and it will all work out for you.
