i agree with this..
find a large woods and find you a seat,,sounds like dog dont know you well and is checking on you,,once it knows you arent going to leave it ,it'll start hunting out longer..
once it realizes you arent going to move while he's out hunting till he starts barking ,he''ll hunt farther out and longer,,
find you a log and take your coffie with you and just sit in the one spot when he checks in ,pat him on the head and tell him go "huntum up " .
after he knows you arent going anywhere ,you will be able to hunt him from the truck,,
its a trust issue..
since he was walked hunted before ,he will keep checking in till he knows you arent going to keep moveing on him..
if you have a very large area you can hunt where you can get the truck off the road away from main road way back in the woods ,,
you can just sit on the tailgate and he will learn you arent going anywhere and start hunting longer each time he goes back out
sounds like you will have a dog everybodys looking for once he builds his trust issue that you arent going to keep walking ..
