I have not had a dog that slick treed very often. What works for me may not work for others but I will show my dogs most any night.
Jim, based on what he asked I would most definatly say the dog he has is already jacking the tree that's why he asked the question.
The most important thing to stop tree jacking is to handle them quickly and try to settle them down.
pet all mine up at the tree,never had a mean dog in my life that i raised and trained
