what a nice looking pup
the majestic hounds are a cross between coonhouds and bloodhounds they register them as magestic hounds my take on a breed they must have alike traits and breed true so i don't see magestics as a breed as there are to varied in looks to be a breed continuous breeding of like hounds may make them more uniform but my opion they are still in the cross bred stage of developement as i say this is my opion not meant to be a slam on the men breeding them

Majestic's dogs breed true from what I've seen.

The NKC recognizes the Majestic Tree Hound

No THey are part of the Hound Group, but are recognized as a Tracking Breed, not a Coonhound.
I like the looks of a Blood hound.

A bloodhound isn't a hunting dog. They have a good nose for tracking, much like a Labrador or Shepard. They have zero tree instinct. Anyone breeding bloodhounds worth their salt will not claim they're hunting dogs. Also, any reputable breeder will recommend/ insist that you get the dog's stomach stapled. Some AKC Bloodhound breeders will refuse you the papers until you get a bloodhound pup's stomach stapled. They have a VERY high percentage of stomach bloat, which you can thank past breeders for putting into bloodhounds by breeding big and droopy to bigger and droopier. The breed has been ruined to the point where most man trackers are shepards now instead of bloodhounds. Now why would you want to breed that into a line of dogs?? Because they make adorable and quick selling puppies!!

I really didn't know that - but, it makes sense.

I know it doesn't matter to some folks, but temperament is VERY important to me. If you go look at the "adoption" pages from the American Bloodhound Club - it would seem that alot of the AKC bloodhounds are food possessive, aggressive with other dogs, etc. Now, before y'all jump, I'm talking about AKC dogs and we all know AKC breeds for the ring and not for hunting or anything else.

I owned an akc registered bloodhound several years back. Since I have coonhounds I let him come along. He loved it. He would trail with the other dogs, but when a coon was knocked out he was scared to death of it. Until he was almost a year old then he lost his fear and could take and give a lot of punishment. He would run a track silent, but he would tree. He would get get right up on the wood and tell eveyone where the coon was. He would start coon tracks that were a day old or older. He had quite the nose. He came from a line of bloodhounds that were used for search and rescue.

For those that say the blood hound ISN'T a hunting breed should read up on it's history.

http://www.bloodhoundclub.co.uk/history/

They may not all hunt now but they started out that way and I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find Blood Hounds that do indeed hunt.

Bloodhound

I have a 2 year old female bloodhound that WILL run and tree her own coon . She's not the fastest running hound , but she gets the job done.

LOL dude...seriously? You're showing your lack of knowledge here.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel originated from hunting dogs back in the 1600's.

As far as chickens are concerned...they are close relatives to the dinosaur. Some of the first feathered dinosaurs actually. If you want I can find the info and post you a link.

Really?? Do you live under powerlines or something?? So you bird hunt with King Charles Spaniels, and actually consider chickens as modern dinosaurs...really?? What ever meds you stopped taking..may want to double dose them for a little while, at least until you stop thinking dinosaurs are roaming the earth, and that Bloodhounds are hunting dogs. WOW.
