Trackman dogs

Can someone tell me the strong points about what he is throwing? Where do they look the best? I have heard they have good horns.

Here's a couple of pictures of mine. He's just coming 3 yrs. He goes back to Hardwood Swamp on bottom. Mouth is o.k., can run a decent track well, will split and hold, and pretty good about having one there when you get there. Can't handle a tough track very well and doesn't hunt as hard as what I would like. Will hunt and do everything by himself, just needs some more drive. That's the short and sweet on mine.

I had one that would have been three in Aug. He was killed by lightning in his dog house. Made him a ntch and qualified him for the world. He had a screaming mouth on track, a huge locate, and hard chop mouth tree dog. Would flat blister a hot track and could handle an old track also. He had to be kept hunted to keep the accuracy up but when hunted up would look real nice. Hunted real good alone, not blow through the country but would get struck and treed and not take all night doing it. Liked him enough that there are two pups in the yard off Track Man and two different females now. They are both about four months old. Seem to have good mouths on them as well. If you get one and it doesn't start right off just give it some time, it will click and you will be on your way. Good luck. Chris

Thanks

I am wondering also how would you compare them to the Wipeout dogs or the Coma line or Swamp dogs?

Don't have any experience with the others. Have heard they are more track minded than some of the rest.

We have a real nice 2 year old Male out of him, GRCH and NTCH with a win towards GRNTCH he is a real laid back dog that looks and act like a lazy family dog until he hits the woods and then he is all buisness, we love him. They are nice built dogs with good color, and usually a first strike dog they take the track as they find it. as far as the mouth goes I have heard good points and bad points. They are easy started dogs not trashy at all. My old man just had a litter from trackman with one of his bitches, I know he has several left if you want a good price on trackman pups. He has also hunted with Trackman several times and would love to talk to anyone of in detail. Not trying to get rich off dogs and no need to tell lies, just good honest people who enjoy the woods. phone number 618-758-2002 if you would like to get more info ask for Eugene, he isn't real big on the computer, but has plenty of coon stories.

The ones I've hunted with I'm not overly impressed with. One was a silver champion I belive grand nite. nothing fancy, little to much other stuff for my likings. average mouth, didn't hunt real wide, good looking, covered quick, good tree dog

another one was real high strung, barked alot in kennel, quick to cover, not real accurate, hunted decent, nice sounding mouth but not very loud(cause of the kennel barking) good looking dog, pulled easily, nice good clean tree dog

I'm sorry, but I cant agree with your statement. Especially when you look at the whole picture. As many times as he has been bred, he should have pup records.

However, he has had some very nice females put under him and that goes a really long way. If I were to get a pup out of Trackman, I would be very selective in the pup I did get. The bottom side would have to be top notch. I wouldn't take a pup out of Trackman and a brood bitch... but nor will I take one out of a brood bitch and any other stud.

Believe me when I say, WLDNITECH Split Creek History Quick is not a brood bitch. They dont come much nicer than her. As far as Trackman's pups records, not sure what your lookin at but, as far as PKC he has thrown a ton of money winners, including the dog that just set a record for amount of money won in a month and the national male leader. As far as UKC he is leading the performance sires by alot. Just because he is not on the reproducers list does not mean anything. He has a ton of pups on the ground that are not very old, which would take his percentage down bigtime. The reproducers list really only tells the story of what he threw after he is dead and his youngest pups are old enough to be put into hunts.
I hunted against Trackman when he was a young dog at a RQE and I thought he was pretty dang nice.

1. Dont really know what your comment about Quick was all about...

2. This inst PKC and I'm not concerned with them either. If we were discussing Trackman on the PKC website then those comments might be valid, but we're not.

3. Sure he is leading the UKC Performance sires alot with total points earned, but let me break this down for you since you again cannot see the whole picture. Turn to pg. 84 of your Feb. Bloodlines which shows leading Performace sires for 2008 filed through 01/06/09. There are 5 sires listed as the top five and here is how it is broken down...

Trackman 131.062 pts earned by 85 dogs, avg out to be 1.522 pts per dog.

Fred 44.586 pts earned by 33 dogs, avg out to be 1.351 pts per dog.

Buck 34.387 pts earned by 18 dogs, avg out to be 1.910 pts per dog.

Cutter 29.287 pts earned by 21 dogs, avg out to be 1.395 pts per dog.

Jake 27.55 pts earned by 19 dogs, avg out to be 1.45 pts per dog.

So therefore, the math doesn't lie. He is not leading the performance sires by alot. He has masd produced pups and they are winning, but those pups that are winning are actually winning about the same amount of points a piece as the other 4 sires that are listed. You cant just look at the 131.062 compared to 44.586 and say that he is leading by alot without comparing all numbers on the chart.

You commented to Todd saying you cant agree with him breeding his female back to Trackman. Then you said you would be careful about getting pups out of him and brood females. I took it as you implying that they bred a brood female to him. I must have mistook you. Sorry.
1. You say I cannot see the whole picture, but you state you are not looking at wins in any other registry but UKC. You are contradicting yourself. Competition coonhunting is not just about UKC. I would say, look at the winnings in all registries, and that way you are looking at the whole picture. Not everyone hunts ukc, just like not everyone hunts pkc or akc.
2. If you look at those numbers, Trackman dogs still have the second highest point per dog. Also, those percentages are just telling what each dog has won, nothing to do with the stud. Some of those dogs may have only been put in some small hunts and only won a fraction of a point, where some others could have been put into hunts and won 2 points. I think that performance point sire page is spose to inform us which dog has sired the most total points.
3. Im not saying he is the greatest reproducing dog of all time, and some of those dogs on that list may very well be throwing better dogs than he is, I dont even hunt walkers, Im just saying he is throwing some pretty good dogs for people that do alot of winning in ALL registries. Im not saying he is the end all be all and everyone should breed to him. I am just stating a true fact. I have hunted with some dogs out of him that I did not care for at all, I have also hunted with some dogs out of him that I liked. Not trying to start an internet fight, you stated be careful about his pups and I am just saying that they have done alot of winning lately.

gotta female out of trackman and a rat attack female that will be 2 in july. she will finish her tracks and have a coon at the end on most of them. she has a good voice and a great disposition. she was a little mouthy at first but has settled down to a honest 1st strike hound. she will get you 2nd or 3rd tree but is getting more confident every day (she likes to be sure). the only downfall to the pup is she chops on track and tree with a very small locate, you have to listen close. if it was not for that she would not be for sale (hidehunters delight). I just bought another trackman pup today, that should tell you I saw something I liked. I also have a female that I will be breeding to trackman this fall.

Trackman puts the good looks, big mouths, big hunting, coon in the trees. All the gyp has to do is have the puppies.

Now Boo Boo you know them Trackman dogs are only winning cause they have good handlers on them!!And they are getting lucky and drawing alot of bad handlers with better dogs!!I hear it daily like a record stuck on skip, the numbers are going to make a turn jackback has it figured out he is just a forward thinker. He knows them handlers are running around with hundreds buying what ever cast they can't get lucky on.With the way the economy is jackback I don't know them #'s might just soar!!!YEAH RIGHT you been their BOO BOO anybody that steps up to the plate and really puts an effort in this sport gets their reputation hammered! If your gonna win in this sport you better be ready to let it roll off your back like water on a DUCK!!I wouldn't hunt one of them non-hunting,slick-treeing counterfiet's,HEY does anybody have Buzz's address I have another female I need to get bred!!LOL LOL LOL

Oh and by the way jackback take your ball and go home, because when they were in PKC they were winning cause you can circle a slick use to be the word, now they show up in the Performance Points where the holy grail of plus points happen and you come up with a new excuse.I'm so out numbered.Suck it up like the Alamo and fight with what you got there is only one winner in a cast!!UNO #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Be the one jackback!!!
