I'm not colorblind, I'll hunt anything that'll tree and coon and do it right. But If I have a choice, It has to be a walker

I've never hunted walker dogs but it sounds like it would be fun.

Are their hides worth anything or does anyone know any good recipes for them?

Redbone and the only real reason is the oldman had an old red that went by butch when I was a kid . Butch paid the land taxes after the fall season and kept the chickens thinned down in the yard the rest of the year. The nights that dad didn't go hunting ,he would let butch off the chain and wood go to bed . I would wake dad in the morning and we would go find the dog , and I can't remember a morning that we didn't find him setting at the bottm of a tree with most the bark missing and his bark would still be going strong. That dog taught me more about the woods when I was young than dad did,Butch was a near and dear friend and I'm now 36 yrs and still miss him and all Redbones hold a spot with me but I respect all dogs that will hunt for owner and like doing it and only expect a place to sleep and a bowl of food and pat on the head once in awhile when they do good.
