Weirdest Place to Tree a Coon

Last nite, I had the craziest thing happen. My dog went out and struck a track and came treed. Well walking into her I heard her treeing next to a train bridge and I get to her and she is sitting there treeing up a metal pillor/support. I thought she had lost her freakin mind!!!! I went to shining around up there and found a coon. I dont know if it hopped down under from under the track and she winded it or it climbed that support. But she had the meat so I dont care, didnt shoot it out cause I didnt wanna catch a ricochet to the head!!!! So what is the weirdest place you have ever treed a coon?

we we put one in the rafters of an old barn, just 2 weeks ago. And a few years ago we tree 3 kittens in a telephone poll.... they dogs were right under them and the kittens were getting shocked and falling out and manged to climb back up the pole with the dogs not getting them, we were afraind to leash up the dogs in fear that another kitten coon may get shocked and fall right on top of us lol.

In an abandoned oil well casing.

The pump jack & everything else had been removed, & just the casing remained still down in the ground. It looked like about 6 inch casing, & we could see the coon about 20 feet down inside of the casing. This was about 3 miles northeast of Drumright, Ok. back in the 80's.

My brother and I treed one on one of the High Tension Metal Electric Wire Towers. This thing is all metal and the coon was at the second cross member so it really had to work to get up that thing, it was all metal. Proably 60 feet off the ground.

I've treed on a telephone pole a couple times.

The weirdest place i've had the dogs tree in was the upstairs of a old house.

I needed 1 more coon to have a chance to get a NT.CH.win in Mi. and she treed right on the edge of the road in the grass. As we were walking in to her they were teasing me about not having the meat. She was on a 4ft fence post WITH a coon down in the bottom of the post.

My brother treed one in a duck blind once, one of those off the ground types kinda like a treehouse.

The dog had climbed the ladder too and was up in the blind LOL.

strange

I have treed once in the inside a silo with 2 kitten coons at the top of it. Also, about a month ago, my 6 month old Superman pup hit a track and ran it into our manure pit beside our barns. I did not kno what was going on but i shined out in the manure and 3 kitten coons were out there in it. The pup about died because she swam out in the cow manure and caught a coon and went under the manure a bunch of times and barely got out, but she brung the coon to me and i was really proud of her because that was her first night out. The only bad thing about that was that she stunk for along time and came out looking like a good for nothing Black and tan.

In a tree that was about 2ft from a camper in a campground. Bad thing was the tree went out over the camper and that was where the coon was. Boy talk about some Po'ed folks. The kicker was the gate to the campground was locked so we had to walk in about a mile before we could get them.

Chris, was this a Dewayne Hayes Campground? If so, i have had the same thing happen. Ours was in the circle before you get to the boat ramp.

Not a coon, but I once had a dog tree on a corner post. I thought she was crazy till I noticed it was hollow, when I looked in the top of it a squirrel was in the bottom of it looking back at me.

I treed one up the chimney of an old house once. It sounded like the dogs were way off then they were close and then they were way off again. We finally found them in the old house. I was afraid the thing would fall in on us but they wouldn't come out so we climbed in to get them. We left that one to run again.
