I usually put Dr. Schols inserts in my gov issued boots but if I were to buy a pair my self I would probably go with red wing or give Georgia boot co. a try I here they make great boots.

Dr Martin makes some good workboots ... they have the best sole on the market and the sole which is lifetime guaranteed and the boot itself is guaranteed for 10 months.

I've tried a lot of brands

I work 12hr shifts in and around chemicals and on concrete and metal grating.

I also like the Justin lace up boot. They are pretty tough and take some time to break in but last pretty good. Plus they are made in the USA.

I'm also trying a pair of Red Wings now. The slip on Wellington type. They are pretty comfy, but don't know how they will last yet.

Worst I ever had was a Wolverine Multi-Shok. Most comfortable but the sole fell off after about two months.

I've worked on a concrete floor at least 10 hours a day for the last 21 years. I tried a $150 pair of Red Wings one time. You couldn't pay me $1,000 to wear them again!Wolverines were pretty decent for me. I have a pair of Rocky's now that I like real well but when I bought them I didn't realize they had thinsulate in them and my feet we're burning up,I work at a foundry.....LOL. I went to Walmart and bought a $20 pair that kinda look like hiking boots that i've wore most of the summer and honest to goodness those el cheapo's have been some of the better feeling boots i've ever wore.Go figure......LOL
