I've owned 2 pups out of him and they were both ill on tree. I culled them both. I have a friend who has a male out of him and he is so bad that he will come off the tree to chase another dog away.

I usually dismiss all of the claims of a certain stud throwing aggressive offspring. For instance, I have heard for years that Nailor threw mean pups, yet I have never hunted with a mean nailor dog, and I have hunted with a bran full of them over the years.

This Elvis line is different. I have seen it way too many times to dismiss it as a old wives tale. The aggressiveness of this strain is too frequent and widespread to dismiss. Good, hunting minded dogs, but not very social, if you know what I mean.

Hunted with an Elvis pup this summer. Independent, but his tree was his tree. Ill towards anything that got near him on a tree. Shortly after he too got smacked on the road. The same guy owned a younger female out of Elvis that was meaner than everthing I've ever seen. HMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

My Warrior has a birth date of Feb. 2005, which is out of Hardwood Elvis Attack. Warrior is the friendliest dog I have ever owned toward people or other dogs. In fact, he is my favorite hound. Warrior is accurate, independent and intelligent. If I had known that dog training could have been as easy as it was with Warrior, I would have shot a lot of other dogs a long time ago. I have hunted him with a lot of other dogs with never a problem. I am not saying you guys haven't had problems. I may have the exception to the norm.

I have a female out of Elvis. She is about 19 months old and coon crazy. We've won a few treeing contests with her. She is honery and very independant but a good dog. She lived in the house with us for 4 months when I first got her. She doesn't share her meals but just about anything else. She runs and trees her own coons and is currently being sent to be "professionally" trained. Very smart hound!!

I just recently picked up a one year old female out of Elvis. She is very social and seems to be just fine around other dogs. I will find out more later as her training gets more intense. I have hunted with dogs out of Elvis and other studs and have seen just as much illness in other big studs as I have out of his offspring. I think the bad is always told more than the good. Just my opinion. Or either somebody spared the rod when it should have been alot stiffer rod used a little more.

Nature of the Beast

its just the nature of the beast in most cases,iv fooled with a lot of hounds through the years and iv never heard of a top promoted hound that didnt throw a mean pup once in a while.
Even the Legendary Hick Harry throwed his share, but maybe it wasent harry maybe it was momas falt ? can you imagine that ?

If you are saying that the Elvis female that I have is mean, then get your boots and your light and drive your happy butt over hear and I'll turn her loose out of the kennel.

You might want to stay in your truck though... she did attack the UPS man the other afternoon!

And just so you know, the Elvis female is no longer for sale... I've decided to train her to fight Pit Bulls...

... good God! Some of you people dont seem smart enough to tie your own shoes, much less take care of a dog!
