I Might Be dead WRONG on this, BEEN WRONG BEFORE, but there are ALOT of Coon Hunters out there that will tell you they are tired of hunting dogs that don't sound LIKE A HOUND and LOOK LIKE A HOUND.
I bought Wrangler for one REASON and that is to try and do some VERY SELECTIVE BREEDING with FEMALES that have some of those SAME attributes that HE has.
I put his STUD FEE high on purpose. I have owned stud dogs before that I would breed ANYTHING to for the dollar. I will not do that with this dog.
He only has 22 pups on the ground. He might not even reproduce.
He turn 7 last week and in the next 3 years, his daddy is 12, my goal is to breed him to ONLY QUALITY FEMALES.
Wrangler is the Product of ALOT of SOLID OLD FASHION COON HUNTERS.
I can take NO CREDIT for HIM but there is not a Coon Hunter alive that will not tell you He has a once in a lifetime mouth and looks.
And HE TREES COONS.
Todd Norfleet DESERVES a lot of CREDIT for this dog and I deserves none.
Randy Steadman has been bragging on ole Queen around here in these MTN. for a long time, I wish I would have bought her way before her death.
I remember Curt Sybert Telling me at the PKC WORLD HUNT about her and Keith Medley telling me some of the same things about this line of dogs.
HOMER and FRED both are GREAT STUD dogs.
Ask Duke Proulx about the HOMER PUPS HE RAISED.
Allen Smith also deserves more credit than we gave him.
I have Rock River Lady, Trackman Mother, and Mojo mother that I am about to breed to Wrangler and two Gr. Nite Fred females.
Thanks a whole lot to the men that still value what a hound should look like and act like and sound like.
