I have heard people use these on their dogs for fleas and ticks. How do you attach them to the dog? And wouldn't they be too strong for a dog as compared to a cow?

Some people put them on whole. Alot of people cut it into 3 or 4 sections and zip tie it to their collar. if you bought a whole pack hang a few around the kennel and tajke a piece of one and attach it to your dogs collar.

I got some a while back to try after reading it on her. Bought a pack of them from Jeffers that was the kind recommended on here. http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc...6T4QW7RUD6M8A99

It was the cheapest place I found to get them. I ordered 2 boxes and got free shipping. Anyway, my dogs have no fleas, ticks, flies or mosquitos on them. I live in South GA where these things are usually pretty bad.

I attached them to the dogs collar with a zip tie. We have hunted the dogs and swam them while wearing the tags and no problems. I used them whole and think they work great.

Didn't realize my link didn't take you straight to the tags. Go to www.jefferslivestock.com. The item # is Y2-P7 They are Python brand. This particular tag is Purple. The do come in other colors.

I over lap the tag and punch the male button through. I take a Dremel (or you can use a grinder) and file down the point on the male button till it's round and smooth. No glue to come unglued or tie straps to break.

I do mine the same as Buckshot exept I bought the tool to put them together for about 10 dollars.

ok wierd, but could you attach it to your hunting clothes, i seen someone say something about them keeping mosquitoes away, so i was wondering if it would work to just keep on in your pocket or on your coat or something?

I have heard of people putting a fabric softner sheet in their pocket or in they hat and they claim that it keeps mosquitoes away( example Bounce sheet or a Great value Walmart brand sheet).

i use them on my dogs. but would it harm a pregnent hound my female is pregnent and i dont dare to put one on here collar because it might harm the pups

i had a female pregrant with a tag on her and doing fine. she has 11 pups that are two weeks and doing great. no effects from the tag. planning on taking it off so the little ones aren't chewing on it.

i have used the purple ones for 2 years with no problems. used the orange one time & my dogs could not smell at all. other dogs was running & treeing good but mine didn't do nothing. i cut the orange tags off & next night my dogs was back to normal. i have had other people tell me they'er dogs couldn't smell with the orange tags too. a man told me he used bifen. spread it like fertilizer, no fleas, ticks, or fireants. he said apply every 3 years. i bought 2 bags,20bucks each, but ain't put it out yet. im worried about my honeybees.
