I have never ran a 320 but the 220 is real easy and user friendly. I think the 220 picks up collars faster than the 320,but the 320 has the birds eye option just depends on how much you want to spend.

the 320 actually hooks up faster, that is one of the improvments over the 220.
the 320 you dont have to hold flat for the compass to work correctly like the 220.
on the 320 the pages for most dog tracking usage are more easy to bring up.
more material and thicker caseing where the antenna screws on with the 320 then what the 220 had.
on/off button easier to access on 320.
320/ orange color on case for finding it easier if you drop it in the woods.
320/ has battery saving mode.
320 /option of tone sounds or vibrating alerts.
320 comes w/both a rubber ducky antenna and a longer flexible antenna for more range.
probly a few more differances i have not noticed.
320 was $580 with one dc40 and a downloaded sd map card then $30 for the birdseye subscription.
i paid $550 for the 220 with one dc 30 then $15 for the sd map card 2 yrs ago.
you can pay more or less depending on who and where you purchase either one. but you can't buy new dc 30 collars any more.
the birdseye downloads to the 320 device itself... not onto a sd map card like alot of people are thinking. you use the topo map and birdseye together for a google earth type satelite picture from the bev then labeled roads and creeks and rivers from the topo overlaying the bev imagery... see the videos on the garmin site and on youtube.
