Tom Dulley dog in Kentucky

Old Diamond Jim blood at it best. He has a Grand Nite and a Nite ch and pups that are treeing their own at 6 months old.
Who has hunted with this dog. He is in the May issue. He goes back to Blue Jim II, Smokey River Sundown, Brammelets Jim, Harlow Track dog all are sons of Smokey River Diamond Jim. He is 9 years old nite ch that won't be around for ever. All my dogs go back to Blue Jim II and Hilton Bray owned the Jim II dog and said he didn't throw a pup that would tree coons.

Tell me if you have hunted with this dog. And who might be planning on breeding to him. He is on my list to breed my Sabrina female to him. She goes back to Blue Jim II at list 5 times for sure.

Elmo

I went with him once, saw him cut loose twice...first turnout, he had a couple young dogs with him, he showed them how to tree a coon, just went in there, got struck, and treed, and had it....second turnout, I believe he backed a dog on a possum...seemed like just an old country coon dog....I would like to have something out of him myself....he has diamond jim four times in his four generation, three times through bramlettes bayou blue him, and once through smokey river sundown, they are littermates, or brothers, being out of
diamond jim x s.r. kit....

Thanks

They say he is crossing on every female bred to him. and is throwing better dogs then he is. Who is the Brameletts Jim is he grand nite or open. Really doesn't matter. I want some old blood back in these blue dogs and he will provide that if he is a nice dog. I've seen a lot of country coondog make the comp dogs look pretty stupid at time when they are setting under the coon and the other dog has a slick tree. They do their fair share of winning if put in the hunts as well. I like what I'm hearing about this dog.
Blue Style if I breed Sabrina to him you will have to try a pup. I believe they will cross well.

Brameletts Bayou Blue Jim was out of SR Diamond Jim x Kit cross owned by David Bramelett.

The Tom Dulley dog was bred up by Kermit Carpenter of Forest, Ms, I believe.

Matt

MY buddy owned on out of OTIS. His name was Buzz and he was a gator so he went by by. Not taking anything away from Otis he was just one dog out of him and a Nothern blue Coonman female.
Matt, Sabrina is Rings littermate sister her and Knight both that was why I was trying to find out about his were abouts after you had him and he went to springfield. The guy never reg him in his name he is still in my name. They go back to Blue Jim II 6 times in there pedigree so that is why I'm sure it will be a great cross. or I hope so. No more Diamond Jim that close anywhere that I know of and it seems not to be watered down strictly old Diamond jim bred ole Dulley might be a key that everyone might want to try. Just my opinion.

thanks

Smokin Gun that's what I want to here. Coon dog to boot that can win in the hunts. I like that. Ole Dulley might sneak up on people not paying attention to good blood and worrying about what the pedigree will look like with Grands and Nite ch. They may just miss the boat. In adding this ole time blood about as close as you can get to ole D. Jim. Who knows he might just help a lot of bluetick out. I've never heard of anyone complaining of having Diamond Jim in there pedigree that is for sure and he will cross with every bluetick available today without question.

Don't want to step on any toes, but if you have to go back to the old blood somebody messed up. There might be a reason you don't see many dogs with those so called good old dogs up close any more too. Good luck with whatever you do. This is just my opinion and observations I have made hunting blueticks over the years.

No toes being stepped on

John he is ad is in the may issue. 20 miles south of Louisville Ky.

Smoke it is not that my dogs are lacking anything but I Know the Jim II dog played a big part in what I have now so if I can bring him up closer it give me a chance to preserve what I already have and that is winning coondogs and excellent pleasure dogs to boot. I figure a good shot of old blood that mine already go back to then why not. I have a sneaky feeling I'm going to really like what I get out of the cross. He is producing early starter that are getting it done in the woods early and with this preformance sire stuff going and all a man could do some good if his pups are doing it right from 5 - 10 months old. I figure can't hurt to try it at least once if it doesn't work then I know I have gave it a try. If it does then my homework was complete and I'll continue my winning ways. I'm just trying to reach back a bit. I guess it is no different in breeding AI to a dog that has been dead for years trying to get some of what was good back. It for my own personal use and just maybe I can help breed a better dog of the future or at least that is my goal anyway.
I understand your thoughts Smoke but we will never know unless we try. My goal is to win the world hunt period with the line of dogs I have. It may never happen but if I compete at least I will have a chance and I've got a couple here that will at least let them remember my name when it is done for sure. Time will tell.

I like the way you think BBaird.

I want to try it anyway. I'll hunt with him first and if I like what I see and hear for myself then I'll breed Sabrina to him. If I don't I won't. I just don't see me not liking the dog unless he has a bad night in the woods but I've been around long enough I can see good where they might not be at their best and he is 9 years old so we will see. Hopefully I can hunt with the Grand Nite and the Nite ch out of him and see what they can do. I'll have to set something up soon. My dog should be in anytime now. Not much time to think about it all really. Timber is my first choice for Sabrina but this dog showed up and I think I have to try it. Timber is young and plenty time to breed the next go around so we will see if I'm up for the 8 hour or so travel.
