The Shenandoah Valley Coon Hunters Association is having a RQE Hunt and Show this Saturday, May 13th at the Barrenridge Community Center.

BS 4:00pm, $15 -- Eric Hardy, Petersburg, WVA will be judging the show.

RQE Purina NH 2hr 8:00pm, $30


We are located about 3 miles off I-81 exit 227 about 75 miles south of Winchester, VA about 75 miles north of Roanoke, VA and about 35 miles west of Charlottesville VA.


Directions: 1-81 exit 227 at Verona, VA. From the North turn left at top of ramp, from the south turn right at top of ramp.

Heading east on Laurel Hill Rd. (Rt. 612), go approx. 1 mile turn right on Barrenridge Rd. (Rt. 642) go about 1 mile to a four (4) way stop, turn left onto Eakle Rd. Barrenridge Community Center is 1/2 mile on left.

Kitchen will be open, with plenty of good food. In addition to the regular hamburgers, hotdogs, etc, we will be having BBQ chicken halves.

Bad weekend for me to try and make a RQE. This is the same weekend as the Washington D.C Youth Hunt. Good luck on the RQE Shawn.

I understand. As of this past weekend, I know of 4 others who would have came, but are involved with youth and planning on attending the DC Ch. It is a worth while event.

Our last hunt, this past weekend had a couple scores over 400+, one at 500+. No mountains, just rolling hills and flat bottoms.

Good food, good guides, and you will see coon.
