Competition hunters

Isn’t great to see all these high powered stud dogs and breeders only wanting their pups to go to competition hunters?

I see that comment or stipulation often as well. However you might not get a pup at 8 weeks from the breeder, but wait til the pup is 7 or 8 months old and you can usually find one or two from that specific litter for sale somewhere. A lot of people have high hopes for a pup and never put the work in or realize what it is going to take.

What you are saying is absolutely true but most people would be amazed how much a pup can be taught in those 7 to 8 months with proper attention. A lot of learning time is lost.
