Triple Crown, TOC, and Top Ten Update
I know it's the busy time of year with Autumn Oaks and the World Championship consuming most of our time, but let us not forget about the Triple Crown, Tournament of Champions, and the Top Ten Bench Show Program.
After Autumn Oaks a lot shifted. Out of the 20 hounds that had double cast wins at the 2022 Winter Classic, only 3 were able to build on that by winning their cast at Autumn Oaks, putting them at the top of the Triple Crown standings with 150 points.
- GRNITECH(3) 'PR' Black River Poncho, B&T, M, 5, Chad McCoin, Brad Hile, Hartford City, IN - Entered in the Portland, Indiana Zone
- NITECH 'PR' Indian Creek Nova, ENG, F, 4, Gregory Wallace, Randolph, AL - Entered in the Clarkesville, Georgia Zone
- NITECH 'PR' 15 South Merle, ENG, M, 2, Trent Willoughby, Watkinsville, GA - Failed to qualify for World Championship, eliminating him from the competition
Besides the hounds mentioned above, there are 21 hounds tied with 100 points, waiting on them to slip up. It could get interesting the next 2 weekends.
The Tournament of Champions Qualified Dog list was updated yesterday and had a BIG jump to 650 qualified dogs. I will continue updating that list every other week through the end of the year. Be sure to get those 5 cast wins. https://www.ukcdogs.com/tournament-...-qualifier-list
The Top Ten Bench Show Standings had some major shuffling after Autumn Oaks. That series is winding down, with only 6 weeks left to compile points. October 31 will be the end of this year's series, with November 1 starting the next year's point series. To stay up to date, as I also update this list every other week, see here: https://www.ukcdogs.com/top-ten-bench-show-coonhounds
