Some accidentally get caught up in a storm and other intentionally go turn loose in it. Mine fall into the later category! It's raining cats and dogs and the big dummies headed to the woods.

Why in the world would anyone in their right mind intentionally turn loose in a storm? With smart phones and the weather channel we have today, you know if you are going to get wet.
I see bass fishermen in their boats out on the lake on a cold rainy day and I say to myself, what idiots. That can't be fun or enjoyable.
Now I know that Chey is not an idiot. (I don't know about Dalton.) What is his excuse for turning loose in a storm? Did he think that the world was ending and there would not be another chance? Did he go to the Dr that day and learn something he hasn't told you?

I always have said, you want a coondog in any conditions, ya gotta hunt them in any conditions. Lol.. yeah, I have turned loose with dark green and yellow cells above us. Just gotta dress for the occasion.

Jen, I kept getting up to go hunting, then look out and change my mind. Boy did I want to go!! We got 6 inches last night after having over 5 since Saturday. Hwy 412 is closed because the Illinois river is across it and many other roads closed,

It rained all night (several inches) but after one turn out and a coon treed they got smart and called it a night.
As for something exciting he's hunting he just took Shack. After 9 years he expects consistency but I wouldn't say excitement lol. Dalton took their newly acquired female out of him. This is apparently hunt preparation for her lol.
I don't think Cheyenne got any life altering news that made him go but I've considered making him an appointment for a CT scan. You'd think with age he'd be getting wiser. Dalton still has the privilege of youth on his side but he should be nearing the stage of a fully developed frontal cortex. Truth is he can't pass up a challenge... if the old man can do it he can't be found sitting on the couch 🤣.
Guess where they are tonight.? One's out hunting and it's starting to rain again, the other is fishing. Those catfish will be up in the mud flats in this flooding. I'll let y'all guess which is where.
Me, I may not be the smartest lady in town but after checking out from here I'm back to the center of the bed plenty of pillows (Cheyenne will toss in the floor) a cozy comforter and can watch what I want on TV.!
