T5X

Larry, Bought 3 of the T5X's less than a month back.

I notice no difference and I probably don't/wont hunt long enough to run out of battery. Haven't tried the "Sleep Mode" feature, like a lot of other features on the Garmin system.

Reception seems to be the same, no less reception anyway's.

So far, the transition has been painless, except for the price tag.

Brian

Thanks Brian.. my T5 and TT15's are all within a year old, so I won't run right out and buy a new one..

My collars and dogs last far longer than I do hunting anymore lol.. Funny how that works..

hope you are all well and appreciate the info!!

Tt15x

Bought 1 with a 200 a few months back when I decided to upgrade from my 100. The only difference I can tell is they connect a little quicker than the normal 15 and the battery life . I’ve hunted 8-9 nights on a single charge and still had plenty battery left . By picking up quicker I mean mearly 2-3 seconds before my regular 15 connects . Have seen zero difference in range .

Thanks Wood. The screen on the 200 is a bit larger. Is the pointer and yardage any easier to read than the 100?

Yes it is a little easier to see for me . It takes a little getting use to or it did for me . I didn’t care much for it at first but keep in mind I’ve had a 100 since they came out , no way I’d ever go back now . I just like bigger screen and ease of the 200. It’s a lot simpler to navigate.

Thanks,

I set one up for a friend last fall, but never really paid much attention to the map screen.. He's much more of a pointer type guy anyways..

I really struggled setting it up as I'm so used to the 100, We are going to get together and hunt later this week and I'm going to review it..

I keep a drive track in my truck and can see that perfectly.. But that little pointer on the hand held is getting harder to see all the time lol..

thanks gents.
