Has anyone had an ultrasound and the vet said no pups but then ended up with pups.My female looks pregnant and has lost her appetite but vet says no pups.

Had one on a beagle once. Vet says no pups then she welped ten. His excuse was I miscalculated the date she was bred so the pups weren't developed enough.
