I have had 2 pair of the Yoder cougar froglegs. The first pair lasted about 6 months and the boot started coming apart. The second pair is about 4 months old and are doing the same as the first pair. I’m just wondering what’s out there that last longer than 6 months.

Ive had Dan's with the Muck boots for 2 years now and no issues. I hunt 4 to 5 nights a week. I haven't tried any of the others. Probably want because I've heard similar comments about other brands. Guess my ole coon hunting buddies recommended that right ones. Thanks buddies!!!

Everything has a trade off. Generally light boots don't hold up as heavy boots. If you want simple and durable, get lacrosse grange. Great spring summer and early fall flatland boots. They are a little uncomfortable if you walk in a lot of rocks...imo.

If it's cold get the lacrosse burly. They are heavy as heck.. but if durability is your concern they will outlast most.

Its so many choices on the market it is almost overwhelming..We stock some sizes in about 10 boots because we cant make up our mind what to sale..Price point is a factor to some,weight is a factor to some,one piece boots are a factor to some.Comfortable to one person doesnt make them comfortable to others..One thing we have figured out that lightweight rubber is not durable and one kind doesnt suit everyone.

The best Froglegs in my opinion is what ever your favorite style of boot is and Johnny Dalton valley creek Garnett chaps. Mr. Dalton sure knows how to make quality chaps. The Garnett chaps are extremely tuff in my book. I have a pair with dryshod haymakers that are extremely comfortable. I also have a pair of swampbusters that I've got too try yet cause I am waiting to I wearout my current pair.

The last 5 pair I’ve bought have been :
* dryshod with Yoder bushmaster chaps (current pair)
*yoder cougars with Yoder light weight chaps
*yoder cougars with Yoder wicked chap
*lacrosse burley with dans 5 star chaps
*dans froggers with dans 5 star chaps

I can’t say enough about the comfort of the cougar boots , but my experience has been that they won’t last a full year with much hunting . The cougars work well with big calves too or at least they have with mine. The wicked chaps were great all around chap , the light weight were good until you walked in big grass with heavy dew on, it would seep through and get your jeans wet . The dans frogger wasn’t very comfortable to me but I hunt with guys who love em , everyone is different . Lacrosse Burleys are great til it gets cold . I’m really liking the dryshod , little heavier than some but really comfortable. The bushmaster chaps seem to be some of the toughest I’ve worn . Idk how long they will last but I think I’ll go back with the same setup when I need another pair .
