Is there a specific blood line of walker that is solid blanket back black up most of its neck and back of head and the rest of its body is red or a darker brown has very little white on it maybe around the chest and tail I have seen a couple but know nothing else about them

It's ozark preacher blood. They carry a gene that colors them that way . Just have to be sure they carry the gene after that u can breed them to any ugly color and it will come threw in some of the pups.

Better question does anyone know where to find one of these that has a lot of old preacher blood that would carry this darker colored trait and the winding ability that this line was know for

I'm not sure just how heavily Preacher bred they are, but Danny Frith in Randolph AL has some good looking Preacher bred hounds.

Some of the dogs mentioned are super nice looking but some carry the gene and some don't. There's a big difference when ya breed them.
