Lights.....

I have used Superior Lights for almost 11 years and Never the first Problem with any of their Lights and their Customer Service is Top Notch.
I have Owned about 6 different Brighteyes Lights and Never a problem with them.
Both of these Light Builders Stand Behind what they Sell and Build Great Lights.

That is a Tough Tough Question when you are Comparing the two Light Companies.
Both the Brighteyes Viper & Brighteyes Fusion are Outstanding.....But I think the Viper Wins between those two.
The Hellkitten & Hellcat Maxx are both Outstanding....But its hard to Top that Maxx.....!!!

I’m interested in the light a person used for 11 years straight, not getting a new one every year or so. I believe that is like buying a new truck every 2 years and bragging about how it never gives me a problem. I can’t really tell much difference in the ones I’ve used as far as brightness and such. I am very used to the light I got so I like it a lot. Lol

Used 1 Light for 11 straight years.....?.....I doubt that...🙄😉
I SAID that I have used Superior Lights for 11 years....that means Multiple Lights in that 11 years & to be Precise EVERY new Model that they have came out with....EXCEPT the New Hellkitten.....But it will be on my Porch Soon....😉
However.....I do have a Superior Bushwhacker 21 V Beltlight that I bought from them when they came out with them....Probably 7 or 8 years ago and have Never had an issue with it.....😁
Does that satisfy your inquisitive mind ?....😂😂

Lights.....

I like a Beltlight in the Winter when its pretty Cold out & I can drape the Head over my shoulder.....instead of having a Caplight on, so I can put a Sock Hat on & keep that Bald Head warm....😬
Someone might ask how I know the Hellkitten will be Great if I haven't used one yet.....its because of Superior's Track Record....they haven't Failed me yet with my expectations with any Light they came out with & I have all the Confidence in the World with this Hellkitten.....👍👍

Lights.....

But I will say one thing.....
Brighteyes is a Top Notch Light as well with Outstanding Customer Service....!!!
Say if I had a Problem with a Walklight on a Brighteyes Light.....Ray would go back and tell Wes to get Tim Knox a New Light Shipped out and lets take care of that unhappy Customer....😉.....!!!
First off that wouldn't happen because Brighteyes doesnt go back to the table to get something right the 2nd time.....they have it right the first time....😉😁
But Not all are that way & I have found this out.

You sure go through a lot of lights! I’ve had in last 10 years , 2 big dog , 1 superior and 2 sunspot. No issues with any of them. All still are in service ( I have or sold some to friends) and all of them founds coons and got me in and out of woods with no issues. Was one any better then the others ? Not in my opinion, just different features.

I just try different ones and like to see some of the features of them.
I had about 3 or 4 of the Big Dog Lights & really liked them.
I have owned or used about all of them that are out there. I have my Favorites though.

I have a relatable question. I have a bright eyes micro fusion and it's a great light but I have trouble with it wanting to slide down my forehead as if it's front heavy. The boss patriot did the same thing. Last night at a hunt someone else mentioned the same issue. Is there a cap light that doesn't do this? Would the cord of a belt light prevent this?

Last time i removed and washed the padding piece in the front of the hard hat i cut a thin piece of foam like youd use for a air conditioner filter or something similar to fit behind the pad liner.Cant be too thick.I know it made it alot more comfortable to wear and i wont swear to it but i think it helped the issue your having a little.

My Sunspot Rage is perfectly balanced.....and bright.... and a great walking light.

Which Bump Cap do you have it mounted on ?
The Micro Fusion came out on the ERB ( My Favorite )....but later they started coming out on the Ridgeline. The Ridgeline always seemed Front Heavy to me.
Try tightening the Headstrap inside the Bump Cap to the next setting.
I had the Sunspot Extreme Rage & it was that way....too Front Heavy for me.
Good Luck
Tim

Get you a leather band pad like they use in welding helmets .. that will stop it..

And not all lights are front heavy

Its like asking Ford or Chevy, get what ya like. I've only used bright eyes and big dog lights. Doesn't mean the others are no good, those are just the 2 I decided on.

I jumped in the creek one night and bright eyes customer service was amazing fixing my light. That's why I've stuck with them, the other company is just as good from what I hear. I'm use to the switch being behind my head too, any light that is different I spend all night reaching for the switch. That's just what I've got use to.

In no way am I trying to bad mouth bright eyes light. This light is fantastic, my issue doesn't give everyone else a problem. Some sort of wrap on the head strap will most likely prevent it from sliding down my forehead.

Travis they sell leather padded sweat bands that will replace the foam one on your bump cap it will keep it from falling down on your face
Just look any where they sell welding supplies
I posted what they look like from Amazon below

https://www.amazon.com/welding-helm...elmet+sweatband

A good friend bought 2 brand new bright eyes in 2009 or 2010 and the first week we got caught in a thunderstorm and both lights quit working. His and his 15 year old sons. Bright eyes “fixed” them and returned them. They worked for another week or month and went out again. Bright eyes refused to fix them and told him they had been submerged in water and wasn’t their responsibility to fix them. Non of us will own another bright eyes since that garbage.

It dont make sense to make a coonhunting light thats not waterproof.None of the light comanys now advertise their lights as waterproof. The old wheat heads seem to withstand water.I used the same wheat head 10+ years .It was bound to be in water many times.ha.Still works.I have a wisdom light i use around home and carry it in a pouch on my belt for a backup light. Its also a power source if you need to recharge a phone or alpha.Nice little lights. If im hunting when i know it could get rainy ill just use it instead of taking the modern high dollar light. The wisdom is 100% waterproof.

You would think. What was funny was they “repaired” it the first time without saying anything. When they went out in the next week or so he sent them back again and they said it had been submerged and was not their problem. Pretty sorry.
I fell on a leupold scope once and egged the front of it. The scope was 10 years old and I called Leupold and asked them if they could repair it or did I just need to buy another one. They said send it in and they would check it out. They returned me a brand new scope a week later and said the other was unable to be repaired but they stand behind there products. I every optic I own is now Leupold!
