What's day is mostly preferred if your traveling to breed?what day after first sign of blood?

According to the old books the gyp bleeds for 11 days on average…she will accept a male for 5 to 7 days after that…
Seems nowadays it isn’t exactly that way…I have my theories on that…

There are two ways I’ve checked to see if the gyp is ready…have a dog mount her and if she poses she is ready or almost ready…

The other way…run your hand along the backside up her leg towards the middle…if she poses and throws her tail to the side she is ready…

I have had good luck with 11-13 days after very first drip... Or 4-6 days after she flags by running your index finger along the upper inside of her thigh.
Best way is a progesterone test at 9-11 days. Live semen stays alive 72 hours.
