Lyme vaccination

Got a couple young dogs and was thinking about giving them a Lyme disease vaccination. Was wondering how well they work, how long are they good for, and if any bad side effects? Thanks

Both my dogs got vaccine, she said it was once a year vaccine. Plus flea and tick pill should have them covered.

I'm wondering what the vaccine will do for a dog that already has Lyme disease. If it will keep him from having flare ups???

Both of my hounds got their Lymes vaccination a month ago. I have been providing this protection for several years. So far there are no side affects. It is an annual shot. I found letting the vet do it works out better than me trying to keep up with it. It might not be 100% protection to Lymes disease, but at least I know I am doing something

I use it on all my dogs. The one I use is give dose, followed in 4 weeks with a second dose. After that it’s once a year. Everything we have vaccinated has not tested positive(knock on wood). The 2 that we have and did test positive we treated and vaccinated and haven’t had any issues. Using a solid prevention program is best defense cause of many other tick illnesses.
