Allen Gingerich reporting here with reports provided from the woods by Trevor Wade.

The cast has now left the fairgrounds , west bound on a side road parallel to I-70 headed to their hunting grounds. Current temps are 67 degrees with a slight breeze and a light mist but no real rain to speak of at this time. But it is WET.

Foggy Mountain Stone and Indiana Outlaw emerged to live another round and brace up in the final. It's Kentucky vs Indiana, Feaster vs Cooper, two six year old's seasoned males to decide the winner in a 90-minute late round contest.

Stay tuned.

^
The cast has just pulled up to the spot they will be hunting in the Hagerstown area, half an hour from Richmond. Handlers are making last minute preps and getting ready for the final showdown.

Beans and corn in every direction, says Trevor.

^
1:38 am is the official start time. Dogs are cut! 90-minute hunt is on!

^
The hounds were cast down a fence row between a corn field and a soybean field. Wind has picked up slightly, says Trevor.

^
OUTLAW struck! 100. North of the cast in the same direction the dogs were cast. Stone strikes and called struck for 75, in the same direction. They are scootin', says Trevor.

^
TREE OUTLAW! 125!

^
Stone treed right behind him for 75. Cast is wasting no time heading their way. 7.5 minutes of hunt time used when Outlaw was called treed.

^
The cast has arrived and dogs are handled on the edge of the cornfield with 1 hour and 16 minutes remining. Dim red lights are on and the search is on.

^
7 minutes of shine time used and both handlers opt to not use anymore time. Judge Jeremy Kidd says it's a circle tree. The cast walks towards the northeast , towards the bigger timber to recast.

^
Dogs are recast! 22 minutes used in the hunt.

^
Minute is up. No bark yet.

^
STONE fans...… put him on your card for 100 strike!

^
Outlaw struck for 75! As the dogs work at the 1/3 point of the hunt, both dogs are working the same general area, what Trevor is calling, north to northeast of the cast. Both hounds are giving a good amount of tongue.

^
Outlaw loads up again...…. and Cooper calls him for 125!

^
Stone still working in that same area but not committing to any tree at this time.

^
Outlaw goes quiet and the two minute clock is working on him.

^
Outlaw opens again..... but..... he has moved away from the tree. Minus his 125 tree points, tree is open again. Stone has went quiet, for the moment.

^
There's Outlaw again. He's working fairly close while Stone seems to have scooted on out and getting deeper away from the cast. The wind and, now a steady rain, is making it tricky to hear Stone. 40 minutes gone in the hunt.

^
The cast is cutting the distance on Stone periodically. Not a whole lot else happening at the moment other than the clock continuing to tick. Outlaw has went quiet and hasn't been heard in a little while. 35 minutes of hunt time remains.

^ Stone treed, 125! 25 minutes remining in the hunt.

^
Stones' tree is closed and the cast has arrived. He is on the edge of a field and they should be able to get a decent look at this tree. Trevor says, Stone is sounding good on this one. The next 8 minutes will be tell how this one gets scored.

^
Hmmmm. Circle Stone's strike and tree points. No coon seen. Rain has gotten pretty nasty, says Trevor. Cast is now walking towards where they could last hear Outlaw before they cut Stone. 14 precious minutes remains. One of these hounds needs plus points to make it happen. National Grand Nite Champion of AO rules require a total score of plus points in this cast to earn the degree. Fingers crossed. There's still time, let's hope one of them will pull it off. Anyone's game still. One coon is all we need.

^
Outlaw treed! 125. He is 400 - ish yards from the cast. 6 minutes remains. Stone is recut.

^
Outlaw's tree is closed and the cast has arrived with 2.5 minutes of hunt time remaining. Stone is at this tree, treeing but not declared treed. WOW! Huge.

^
COON SEEN! Plus up Outlaw and make him your National Grand Nite Champion of Autumn Oaks! What a nail-biter in not so pleasant hunting conditions. Congrats to Jason Cooper and Alan Holding! The Event Where History is Made just added another interesting storyline to it's most recent winner!

As you may have heard on the UKC YouTube Feature of the Grand 16 earlier tonight, it started raining in the Richmond area, and may have played a part in the hunt tonight. Two of the four casts failed to produce a plus-point cast winner leaving us with a two-dog final to determine the National Grand Nite Campion of Autumn Oaks.

Foggy Mountain Stone and Indiana Outlaw emerged to live another round and brace up in the final. It's Kentucky vs Indiana, Feaster vs Cooper, two six year old's seasoned males to decide the winner in a 90-minute late round contest.
