First where I live is flat. We have a lot of drainage tile that very in sizes. Some big enough for a dog to turn around in some not.

I have a LITTLE 2 yr old that goes where the track goes. Get the picture here. So far my 9 yr old hunting buddy or myself have been able to reach/crawl in and get a leg and pull her out. But I know sooner or later she will get to far in.

Here is where I want your thoughts please. If I get a pc of tile bury it leaving 1 end exposed. Then attach my fence charger to the open end. After that lay a trail with a drag into the tile. Plug in and turn dog loose.

Now questions that pops in my mind. What's the chances of breaking her of entering tile? Or will I break her off coon? Anyone tried this or similar? She has hooked her tail on electric fence a few times and stays out of steer pen now.

Is entering tile…like entering a tunnel or cave?

Put a beep beep collar on her for sure. I dont want to speculate on any training methods. I sure wouldn't turn her loose without an extra tracking collar. Jr.Steelman

Am I getting shocked because of the smell or because of the pipe???

Coming home late and you get slapped. Because you came in the house late or because you have perfume on your clothes???

My guess, your dog won’t know either😂

Probably similar to trying to break one from climbing a tree. Find someone with a good solution to that and you may be on to fixing your problem.

Just trying to get down to these youngsters level before they screw up more good hounds.

Example. What if you stopped off and bought some perfume because you were going to be late. And the sales person got some on you?? Now you got slapped and you THINK it was the perfume but was it??

So NEVER correct a hound unless you know the hound knows why and if there could be a chance it doesn’t—DON’T

Your idea “May Work” or could you end up with a hound that would not track ANY track?? I can’t answer that and not sure if anyone can.
