Crossbreds
Do it if you want to, never know unless you try. Now that cross breeds can be registered and put in hunts just like the purebreeds, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I think a lot of folks have forgotten just how we came up with the pure breeds. We started from grade dogs, breeding the best to the best. I do not breed dogs myself, but I love a good coon dog no matter what the breed and I have seen some really good cross bred dogs in my 72 years. Breed what suits you and if the cross does not work, it's no different that ALL of the hundreds of crosses that fail with purebred dogs. Dave
