Get a 10 and order Bama socks. Throw away the green insoles that come with them and buy some gel insoles. Cheyenne wears a 10 1/2 and his Bekinas are 10's.

You must be mixed up ........ that sounds like the typical Muck boot failure to me.

Wart - You wont find a tougher boot than a Bekina. Youll prob have to buy them online as most vendors dont carry them anymore. And Jen is RIGHT on her details given.

Chey has never had the soles come off any and he has been wearing them for years. It is not for lack of miles put on them either.

I loved the boots... they wore better than any I’ve had in a long long time... and yes these also had some miles on them when the soles came off not like it was the first week of wearing them.I contacted the dealer I bought them from who is also a friend of mine... he response for what it’s worth was...yea that’s why I stopped carrying them....

my luck has been different. I wear a 9 1/2 D in a redwing workboot. I ordered a 9 & 10 in bekinas. The 9 was way too small & the 10 worked with thin socks. The bama socks was way too thick for the 10. You do need the good insoles. I've been wearing these bekinas for several years now without any problems. But when it gets down in the low 20s, I switch to the mucks. Never had a sole to come off of any kind of boot. Haven't hunted much the last 2 years due to the tick fever.

As happens so often on here a question is asked. It isn't specific as to which boot your talking about. The answers come in and we not end up talking about the same boot. They had an older version that was almost indestructable. Formed with one piece construction. Lasted and lasted. Thing was they were not comfortable for some people that hunted hard. Actually hurt their foot. Also this version came about a half size larger than what a person wore. I never messed with the newer boot but I don't feel they were as good as I heard a lot of negatives about. I am sure some thought they were great. I just hate to see us talking about two different boots. The newer one is the only one available so we don't need to confuse them.

Bekina is the only boot ive ever got a year of use out of. I've tried them all. They are light, super comfortable, and made very tough. In all honesty there isn't a close 2nd in my opinion.

The first Bekinas were brought to the coon hunting market by Dean Miller and he sold a pile of them..Very Very uncomfortable to some but others absolutely loved them..New style came out with a better tread pattern but were also made in a different plant in a different country..Quality suffered immensely ... The boot is back again with the same mold but back being made in Belgium and so far seems to be holding up a bit better..We have the ability to chap in house and have tried probably 50 or so different kinds with various results..We have belgium made bekinas back in stock right now that we are chapping with a snake protector chap and also a slick denier brown chap..Time will tell on these also

Mine are the Steplites, #P230, made in 2014. I bought them from QC Supply for 59.00 A pair. Sent them to nitetime, they had the chaps sown on and sent them back to me. Got about 120.00 a pair in them. The pair I kept has badlands chaps and are still in good shape. The size 9s I gave to a teenager, they had yoder chaps.

John thanks for the update on the history of the boots. I have a pair of the original boots and they will probably be here when I am gone. I only hunt about twice a week and try not to walk too far. It is my understanding they were a one piece construction so it is hard for me to figure out how the sole came off. I sold several pair of those and like you said. They were to some that walked a lot very uncomfortable.

I assume the second generation of boot didn't have the one piece construction if the sole fell off.
I sold a few of them but saw the handwriting on the wall with complaints and didn't sell them long.

As far as the newer generation boot your talking about. I would love to see it stand up like the first one did, yet be comfortable for the hunters. Wish you the best with them. The hunters need a comfortable, long lasting boot.

Thanks a bunch but before I get blasted ..Never said comfortable ..Hopefully built for longevity .Its a few pair out there that I find comfortable but if you recommend them and they dont get two years of everynight hunting then you told a fib also..I still play alot of senior softball and I have ten or so bats and the same with boots Depends on the day and the situation.Hope all is well in the deep south!

Johnny Dalton. The BEKINA boot that has come back out and being made in Beiglum. Does it have a particular name or model number. I assume the Steplike X which says powered by Bekina is the not the newest one. Or is it?

I like 'em

I bought a pair of Bekina boots from Bob Osbarn at Timber Creek Supply last winter on the way home from the White River. The Quatros I was wearing were way too heavy. The Bekinas have the Yoder Bushmaster black chap. I haven't hunted in them much but I love the feel and the weight. I wear a size 9 1/2 shoe and the Bekinas I have are size 9.

These are stamped Made In EU on the arch of the boot. Does that stand for European Union??? Anyone know where these are actually made?

Mucks

Mucks eat socks. Can go thru the heels of a good pair of socks in 1 night!!. Had 2 different pair loose a sole after a pretty good bit of use. 1st pair Muck replaced. 2nd pair they refused to help.

No more Mucks for me. To expensive for that type of performance.
