Coonhunting is full of firsts!!

I ran and treed a few Bobcats had them jump and run several times. But friday night treed a bobcat that didnt run 100 yards and stayed in first tree it took the whole time. Just hunting single dog and was by myself. Dont know if that might made difference. What's everyone else experience with easy tree cats. I wonder if might been female with kittens close by.

Treed one a few years back in a holly bush... 2 dogs cold trialed it a couple hundred yards and treed. I thought it was a coon the whole time. Walked in and looked up and sitting 10ft up was a big cat. I leashed the dogs and walked away and the cat never moved.

and in the last 10 days I've watched two coons jump out of trees over my dog.... I suspect they had kittens in the tree or close by???
