I dare say that is conjecture at best, it would take a controlled study to determine if anything like that was connected. Could have been a case if sheer coincidence if it even happened. I think hunting dogs pulling on their collars and the shocking collars have more to do with thyroid issues in dogs than anything else. Think about it, the thyroid sits in the throat area and hounds or dogs lunging on leads or getting shocked repeatly can not be good for their thyroid. Dave
