BBCHA Historical Blue Book - UPLIFT

Please know that BBCHA is financially sound & is going full force ahead with plans for a large and wonderful 2020 Blue Book - delivered to your mail box in early 2021!

"IF" our membership supports us with their 2020 dues and their great personal Blue Book ads, everything will be fine. The BBCHA 2019 book featured 140 ads, the book went out to 1,100 members. In spite of current national obstacles, we are working to match or exceed that in 2020!

To receive this celebrated (300+ pgs.) Historical Bluetick journal in early 2021 - Be sure you've paid your 2020 BBCHA membership dues ($30), additional family members $5 each. To pay dues ASAP go to bbcha.net website and click "Memberships" at top of Home Page; then click on "Buy Now" tag to pay dues by credit card, Debit Card or Pay Pal. Or, send your dues by U.S. Mail to Membership Chairperson (Check payable to BBCHA): Sharon Patton, 12269 N. 431 Rd., Adair, OK 74330. Ph. 918-785-5587. Email - skypatton4@gmail.com.

We already have some great historical materials in the hands of our 2020 Blue Book Designer, including a feature on perhaps the oldest Bluetick kennel; biographies on 24 new BBCHA Hall of Fame Inductees; an article titled "Old-time Coon, Cat, Lion & Bear Hounds" with photos; Blue Pages with well over 100 rarely seen photos of Bluetick hounds and hunters. Folks, that just scratches the surface.

Watch this Bulletin Board a little later down the road for details on how and where to submit your personal ad for this new and fresh book. YOU'LL WANT TO BE A PART OF IT! Thanks. Please send any inquiry to me at email guy.g.ormiston@gmail.com. Like many we don't answer the home phone unless we know the caller.

UPDATE

BBCHA will have a full page ad in the upcoming May issue of COONHOUND BLOODLINES. CHECK IT OUT for guidance on how to become a member for 2020. Included are other ways you can support your breed, your sport and your BBCHA.

The building of the new 2020 BBCHA Historical BLUE BOOK is coming along great! We hope to match the highly praised '19 book in quality and content. Already 22 action-packed articles completed, with more on the way. Each 2020 BBCHA member will receive a 2020 BBCHA Historical BLUE BOOK in the first quarter of 2021.

What's Happening Now!

Folks: We are beginning to receive interest in placing ads for the 2020 BBCHA Historical Blue Book. We are ready.

You can e-mail or snail-mail your ad draft to our Book Designer. Our designer, Beth, can be contacted at bethymor@yahoo.com or ph. 419-215-8672. Her mailing address is Beth Cendere, 10144 Reagan Dairy Trail, Bradenton, FL 34212. $100 for a full page ad--worth the money--going out to approximately 1,000 Blue enthusiasts.

We've just about finalized our historical material. It will match or exceed the volume & quality of history in the 2019 book. Certainly just as good and just as interesting!

We are currently searching out the "What's happening now" material on active Bluetickers. If you are prepared to submit material on a current Blueticker, please let me know. Thanks.

Bluetick Information

Dear Newcomers....for your info, there are several Bluetick organization doing their best to promote the sport and the breed. AKC has a Bluetick association, UKC has a Bluetick association, there is the National Bluetick Assoc., the American Blue Gascon Assoc. and there is the Bluetick Breeders & Coon Hunters Assoc. (BBCHA)\ which is an independent organization.

BBCHA is supportive of all efforts to promote. To those who don't have their own breed book we invite them to advertise and utilize the BBCHA Historical Blue Book, which some have wisely utilized and benefited their own important efforts. We wish all those Bluetick organizations the best, and BBCHA will help them where possible!

BBCHA is the oldest "active" Bluetick association founded in 1954. Essentially pulling the fledgling Bluetick breed up by its boot straps. According to my research, if it hadn't been for those 1950's Bluetickers I think the breed would have been reabsorbed into other existing breeds.

BBCHA is deeply involved in promoting the breed/sport. If you join BBCHA, I assure you, you will agree it's worth a King's ransom (only a slight exaggeration). Check website bbcha.net. Ask any current BBCHA member(s) what they think about BBCHA!

Observation

It's good to see several tree hound entities are adopting BBCHA ideas and initiatives! Borrowed thought is not illegal.

Just want to update on the upcoming 2020 Historical Blue Book progression. Just have to be careful discussing all the fresh stuff that's going to be in there. Don't necessarily want to see our ideas duplicated elsewhere - at least not until the following year.

There were so many after-the-fact orders for the '19 book, the usual safety stock (extra copies) was quickly depleted. Last year's book was so well received--the word got out, which is the best advertisement.

As far as fresh and innovative Blue Book material, rest assured the upcoming book is going to be as good as last year's.

Please pay your 2020 dues early (now) so we can tell whether to print fewer copies, the same or more 2020 copies. Guidance on how you might choose to pay your 2020 membership dues is included in an above post.
Thanks!

Good News

President Jim Combs reports excellent numbers of 2020 membership dues received for the first half of the year. Those who haven't submitted your 2020 dues please check above on several ways you can get it done.

Please note BBCHA is initiating a new surprise for those who relish Bluetick history. I won't elaborate, since there are those who like to steal our thunder. But stay tuned for a great initiative by BBCHA for the members in the next month or so. I'll keep you posted when we're able to release it.
