Time off with Family

To be honest I’ve never had more then about 9 days off work. That’s for vacation but I’ve been off since March 14 I can tell you I’ve really enjoyed my family time. There’s some bad things that’s happened but this has been a blessing in disguise. We’ve fished, Coon hunted, turkey hunted, mushroom hunted, and even down to the simplest stuff as catching night crawlers. I’ve cherished every minute of it. I’ve absolutely got a young dog clicking and she’s as good as anything I’ve owned at that age. I miss going to church wasn’t able to go to my uncles funeral today but I can still see some good in the rest of the everyday things I’ve never been able to do before. In the middle of a mess God can still Bless.

I don't mean to imply that I always work a lot, but I almost always work a lot of hours this time of year. This has been the most enjoyable spring I've had in 20 years. Kind of a shame that it takes bad stuff going on in the world for a man to get this amount of time to spend with family. We're out every single day floating, fishing, riding wheelers, playing basketball, throwing around a softball, working on old trucks and messing around with dogs.
If this is what retirement looks like, sign me up.

Everything about retirement is great except the age at which it starts.

You have to retire when you are young and then when you get old and run out of money you go back to work.
