Alpha losing connection and not picking it back up

Anybody else have this problem? I'm new to the alpha and tt15 collars so it may be something I'm doing wrong, but I can hunt an hour or two and sometimes all of a sudden one of my collars loses connection to the alpha and it shows signal lost. Even when the dog checks back in the handheld doesn't ever pick the collar back up. Is there something I need to do different? This happens regular where I hunt in the mountains. Have used 220 here for years and it always picked collars back up on it's own once dogs were in range. Any help? Thanks!

You may try an update on handheld and collars. Also you may want to look at different antennas for both as well if you are using the factory/stock antennas. Check to see if the rubber strap is cracking, the gps wire may be starting to break which will cause the signal to work one minute and than gone the next

When I hunt in cold temperatures I have same or similar problem. Temps. upper teens low 20s. My alpha and tt15s were bought new at AO 2019. The 320 I traded in would do the same. I try to keep alpha in a inside pocket or against my body.

I bought 2nd alpha for Granddaughter and neighbor boy to use when they hunt with me. Cold temps I carry it also. Keep it in my shirt pocket.

Hope this can help you.

Good Luck

Get in touch with Garmin or your supplier. It should;t be doing that, New unit should work. They will make it right,
