Dog heat cycle

I have a female that is in heat and is going to have to miss the classic. I started doing some calculations. She is already qualified for world and zones fall in around 6 months from now. My question is is there a healthy option to make them skip a cycle or come in heat earlier than they normally would?

I know of nothing that is worth the effort and safer than the workings of mother nature. It has been my experience that dogs are not quite as regular as people. In other words those that come in heat once a year most usually don't come in heat on the same day/week as they did the previous year, and those that come in twice a year don't come in heat exactly 6 months from the previous heat cycle.

So my suggestion is to cross your fingers and hope for the best, and trust in God that he will not allow your plans to go up in flames so to speak. if it is meant for you to attend the world hunt with this particular dog, then I'm certain she will not come in heat during that time.

Good Luck!!

There's a thread on this forum that tells you if you fed a certain dog food they never come in heat.
