Done with BBOA

After seeing who the Bluebook Editor is just confirms that I will never again support this organization. What a Joke!

Should be one organization anyhow but some got butt hurt and would not work out the details. Seems they just keep making the decision easier for everyone to jump ship to the one moving forward.

I was questioning this decision in my mind too, at first, but then I got to thinking, first, he is about the only guy willing to take his free time and do such a time consuming job. Second, he isn't part of any good ole boy network within the breed, so he will submit facts without any opinion. He has a past for sure, but seems to want to go out of his way to help the sport now days. Did I mention he's willing to take his time and do it for free? It's just kind of hard to turn down a guy that steps up and says hey I'll take the most thankless job out there, that no one else wants and I'll do it for free.

Seems the other Bluetick Organization had little trouble finding a Editor. I guess if BBOA is so far gone they need to get a known cheat that shouldn't be any part of any registry to support this group so be it. No argument needed.

An editor to my knowledge can only work with the materials provided to them. I still do not understand how anyone can justify benefitting the resume of this man in the Coonhound world. But I guess it's better than worrying about him sneaking around the woods beating dogs off trees. If you can forgive and forget so be it. Just happy it wasn't my dog. I'm sure I would be in jail for leash beating him all the way out of the woods. Chances are I would get barred and he would continue to hunt UKC events. I realize it was another kennel club but that's like saying someone's a criminal in Mexico etc... but if they come to the US they're all the sudden exempt for their transgressions abroad. BBOA and UKC have gone downhill fast and Noone knows how to pump the brakes.

came across this as I don't make a lot of public statements anymore mainly because I am not an officer and feel its not my place to do so, but it accrued to me I can make a couple of points here

Having done the Bluebook a few occasions I can say it is a time consuming thankless job if there ever was one, it consumes your evenings making calls, following up with those calls 2-3 sometimes 4 times to the same individual, getting ads in, checking them and proofing them, and then getting them off to the printer, also you can on print what the Zones send you and if they don't send it then it can't get printed. So all of your basic coon hunting season is taken up with doing the Bluebook and for what people to complain. Yes I know we all want a perfect book but as humans we do make mistakes, Hell I know I did and I looked at ads 2-3 times and still missed a misspelled word and on some ads as they came in you had to have a magic bottle to try and figure out what they wanted and were trying to say

As for what this individual did not sure if I remember it or the situation, but can I ask since I'm getting old or should I say older what year did this happen ?????

If it was last year I can understand the frustration but if its been more than a few years could it be ( I can say I do not know this individual) that he may have changed his ways ???? If the membership at hand in the meeting felt enough compassion to forgive maybe the rest of us can also.

I feel lets see what kind of job he does and then see how we judge this man and his work ethics for a job that is thankless and sucks your life away for 2-3 months

Just saying and just my opinion

Go Team Blue and take care all !!!

A person can sure loose a good reputation quick. Not sure how many would be one of the good ol boys if their closets were cleaned and skelatons posted on a public forum.

blueticker - agree 100% as I said before not sure when this happened and guessing its been a few years I've never been one to throw stones at a glass house.

If a man does good work for another UKC chartered organization and is willing to volunteer to help his friend out and in turn help us out who am I to say anything other than Thanks !!!

If it was such a problem I'm sure someone at the meeting would have jumped up and said so ?? Maybe - maybe not so my feeling is lets let him do the job of helping Mark Baer and see what gets done.

Good luck and hope the book is a success !!

What in the F#Ck are you talking about. I was involved in the book/ site for a couple years and everyone volunteers and I can assure you that no one as ever intentionally left out of anything. But you can keep passing fake news bullsh&t and stirring a pot for no reason.

I'm going to throw a stone threw your window. Whatever happened to your buddy Dakota Blue Dan? I seem to remember your good buddy Dan stealing from BBOA quite a few years ago. Did you forgive him or just cover up what he did? Guess when friends are at a premium you pick the hunt crooks and thieves. Not surprised one bit. The Curs are restless. Bye for now. Bye forever. Never again will BBOA or one of they're thieving representatives get a nickel of my money.

Rick Stretch, was barred lifetime from both AKC and his former employer PKC for cheating (pulling dogs off trees when he was not even a member of the cast) yea I know sounds far fetched, but really did happen.

Since is barred lifetime from AKC and PKC, he now hunts UKC.

In my opinion, that is a perfect situation for of all of the Kennel Clubs to bar an individual.

Caught. Not accused of.

The purpose of my original post was to bring light to the fact that this is a poor choice for BBOA. Was holding out hope for BBOA, but no longer feel the need. My measly $30 a year won't be missed anyhow. IN fact my entry fees at BBOA events won't be missed either. I haven't owned a blue dog in several years but always pd membership and attended hunts. Mostly to see old friends but that's OK. Good luck in the future.

I'm sorry who is Dakota Blue Dan, don't have a clue who your talking about and never had anyone steal anything during my term as President so throw away Officers and VP's did a great job for my 9+ years in office, I am proud of all of them, and yes there were times when we did not all agree, but we worked as a team and accomplished what we set out to do for the betterment of the organization, not ourselves

As for Rick helping out our President while doing the Walker book also, I say time will tell, I guess this happened in the late 90's and from the people I talk to he was suspected never proven but....that is not the point, guess some folks will never change right

Keep hiding behind your screen name and I know I've not been involved as of late with BBOA, but since Mark and Robbie have asked that I help out I will now give 100% and all I can say is your $30 and your type will not be missed

Good Day and God Bless this Great Country and the rights for people to express their opinions and work at redemption for a better day
