Thank you

The reason I’m asking is I need something to spray my hounds with when going hunting. My vet stopped stocking Simparica. So I’m back to using Bravecto and have had 2 hounds come down with a tick disease when using that stuff.

Do you know why he quit stocking Simparica? I've used it for 2 yes without any problems, but just saw on FB that it caused seizures in several dogs. I'll use Seresto collars and Simparica, so far I only have a he Seresto collars on them. Haven't found anything on them, but pulled 2 ticks off my horse on Wednesday.

I spray dogs once a month and mix 1.25oz to a gallon of water. Also spray all around pens with it and dog house's really cuts down on flies.

seresto collars are the best. 52 dollars at wahlmart and they last 8 months. I used Permethrin for years until I had a flea infestation I could not get rid of got the collars and no ticks fleas or anything else!

I

Got two dogs with tick disease right now. One has been on simparica and seresto collar and both sprayed before hunting so nothing can absolutely protect your dogs. You can only do your best and hope.

blue blue, your exactly right, I've been pretty lucky so far. I use cattle tags and the spray above and have had mine tested, so far so good.

Jeremy

I’m glad you having good luck I’ve had around 8 with it the last few years but most had it when I bought them. I think spraying them before you turn out is very important. I spray my chaps and seldom get a tick off me. I use a similar spray to what you use.

Permethrin

Buy the 10% concentrate solution and in has a label on it for dogs and direction on how to mix it... the stronger concentrate does NOT...
