Stalls

I would seal the concrete b4 putting any dogs in it. The smell of urine never comes out

Don't forget that dogs need some sunlight. Vitamin D from it is essential to health. If you house them in a barn they need runs that go outside.

Yes and the natural light triggers other hormones essential to their health (and ours). Think of fertility and believe it or not hormones that affect the thyroid gland.
Sorry Thomas G but yes even the lack of sunlight can affect the thyroid gland adversely, not genetic.
Ever wonder why your house pets seek out a sunny place in the house? Why do your outside dogs choose to lay in the sun even on fridged days? Go read the Minnesota weather thread and Bob Hennesey's comments on his dogs setting in the sun on sub-zero days. It is prehistoric survival of the species. Why do wild animals rut co-inside with whelping during the spring and warmer temps? Why do some females moved up north have irregular heat cycles during the winter and shorter days? Why do professional breeders have outdoor runs, sky lights or bulbs that will produce an artificial natural light? Why do puppies housed indoors have a higher risk of rickets? Why are rates of depression worse in the winter (doesn't just affect people)? And last but not least why do we get sick more often in the winter than summer. All because we and our pets have to have sunlight for our over all health and well being.

your getting bad advise ! must have's for inside kennel to work must be well lite have ventilation/system and mine has heat ! a method of keeping clean 2 methods i use to keep the smell down and the runs clean during summer months i power wash as all my floors are slopped with drops and in ground manure storage but during the winter months i go with the dry method which consist of wood shavings shoveling up crap and wet spots and adding more shavings keeps air better and runs dry i've had my total inside kennel for over 7 years now ! my setup consist of 13 runs with houses currently i have 9 dogs ps my vet loves my setup my dogs are healthy and their coats shine with no adverse health effects examples of other species that survive inside or outside with little to no adverse health effects horses, cattle, sheep/goats, cats and yes dogs plus many other species
