7 Y/O Nitech Female For Sale Northwest Georgia
She went out on trial on 02/03. Expect to know something in about 2 weeks or less. Will update then.
I have decided to let Smiley go at $500. She is a Nite Champion Bluetick Female. Her DOB is 09/02/2011. She has had one litter of pups that she raised well. They tell me she only comes in once a year. Should be about February. As I always am, I will be very open on the dog and what I have seen. I have only owned her for a couple of months, but I have decided she does not fit where I want to be.
The Good: Smiley is a wonderful hard tree dog. She will tree and stay treed for as long as needed. Bawl on track, chop on tree. She has a reasonably loud clear mouth. She is a reasonable hunter. A bit of a negative is that she can be a bit slow to start hunting, she mills around a bit but then you check the Garmin and she has gone 500 yards. She is as easy handled as any dog you’ll find. No disposition issues at all. Most of the casts you make you will get her off a tree.
The Bad: Smiley has not been accurate for me. Very poor at times. She has treed far too many slicks and some little holes in the ground. I am convinced she is treeing squirrels and running some dinkies. I have shocked her off some slicks and she is not put off at all by shock discipline, but her accuracy has not moved in the right direction. You do have to be careful of other discipline as she will get her feelings hurt if you get grumpy with her. She has had some spurts where she has been 50% for me, but some spurts where she has treed several trees in a row that were slick or maybe had little peckerwood holes. (Squirrels?) I hunt in the ragged out national forest and I can’t go 800 yds too many times to slick trees.
Someone with more coons or better hunting territory might get her to an acceptable level of accuracy but my patience isn’t that good.
Trial available. I will answer texts or calls much faster than PMs. 706-217-9119.
Can text a video of her treeing.
