DUKE KING'S MR. LINCOLN
good old blood making a nice little hound been hunting him with some old dogs. he is quick on track and beats most my old dogs on the tree. he has to on his toes to beat his dad.

Lincoln
Lincoln is a real track dog I enjoy listening to the speed this dog has and as much of a honest strike dog as he has turned out. Like his dad he makes some nice hounds look bad the way he takes a track away from them and move it so fast.

clay...really like your dogs pedigree.
Love the old blood. Especially the tons of spring creek Radar and Rock in there. Some nice old blood. I have been trying to move my breeding program back to as much old blood as possible.
Not really happy with the the past 10 to 15 years of breeding folks have been doing. The product of hot nosed, slick treeing, unintelligent hounds has flooded our market.
Talked with a couple judges/guides at winter classic last year and the number of Gr. Nt. ch.'s being slick treeing idiots was mind boggling. To make it worse, they were backing slick trees.
that is a direct result of folks breeding hounds to sell pups and breeding to what the locals are building up and or reading the hype on this internet board and the magazines.
Read a recent PKC post where somebody won a big PKC 2 nt. hunt and both nites won on circle points and was proud of it!!!
You would have thought they won the world hunt.
We have to get back to some older blood....quick.
There have been some Rock blood showing up in some old breedings here lately and I encourage all breeders or men with females to do their homework and research these older blooded hounds and give them a shot before the latest truck winner or PKC money winner etc.

How much does he weigh and does he have pups on the ground. Tell us about his mouth and hunting style etc.

Tim Tilman in Ark who has lots of spring creek rock blood and and Dennis mcdowell who has lots of rock blood.
Both of these men line breed old blood spring creek rock like yours and getting a female from them and crossing on your dog. It will keep what you have going and keep it strong.

Lincoln has a squall, holler a little bit of everything not no beautiful mouth like his dad. But like his dad he can run a track in the winter or in cornfields. His only fault on the track is mainly my fault for not being able to hunt him. In a bunch of coons setting up he is like a kid with his hand in a candy jar screaming and hollering but the other night he finally settled down and had the coon. He has some big footsteps to follow to get as good as his dad but like his dad I do enjoy hunting him. He is probly around 50 to 60 pound dog. I had a full brother to him out of a younger litter big pretty hound good mouth. Got ride of him didn't have the running ability that Lincoln had.

Lincoln has had a funny mouth he never just used it he would get so excited he would make any kind of noise. but he has finally settled down to a big sqawlen bawl on a tree sort of a short sqawl almost a chop.
