Hunt scenario

4 dog cast.. dog a trees coon and recut.. dogs b, c, and d still on track.. dog b declared treed and came into cast when we got within 100 yards and minused both ways.. we go check on dog a and c because they were with dog b and aren’t moving... coon caught on ground.. dog D is out of picture by himself.. just making sure we scored it right.. A never reopened after treeing coon.. we minused b for coming into cast.. dog C was the only dog that got plus because his strike was still working.. did we score A correctly?

If dog A never opened after being recut the he had no strike points to plus. Dog C, plus strike points. Dog B screwed itself when it left the caught coon and came into the cast.

I am gonna assume so. But before this even gets started about not using a garmin to help score. This is where common sense comes into play if dogs aren't moving and you think they may have caught a coon you go see.

Nope, there you go assuming, that's where lotta problems arise. Guess I should've asked how did you know dog was there and left it at that. He asked a question, so common sense tells me to know the whole story before I give a answer!

It's just rare for a dog to not bark a bit on a coon caught on the ground.
