That is definitely owning some dogs that can win. Pretty much in the running, week in and week out. I would say that one or both of them have to be a favorite to make the final cast.

When coon hunting is your job and your good at your Job it makes a big difference. For the other guy when you got more money than you know what to do with it makes a big difference too.

Joey, I still think you have to give credit for them coming up with a coon dog. No matter how much money you have or how many nights you hunt. They apparently have what a lot of people seem to looking for. The knowledge of getting the right ones.

I could hunt the next 6 months, every night and still not have a consistent winning coonhound. They reload and reload. Say your the guy with all the money. You have 5 or 6 dogs out there winning. How many more do you have to have in the background. Has to be a bunch because everyone you buy. I don't care how much money you have, isn't going to win. There is a factor of the handler and the dog being on the same page. Both them guys deserve credit for getting it figured out and making it work.

The money at these hunts has taken it from a sport of just treeing a coon. To looking at and managing the big picture of having dogs and handlers and teams that click. That is harder than just having a dog that will tree a coon.

Those dogs are hand picked to fit the kc's they hunt in from all over the USA and they spare no expense to own them.

You are correct. But I think a lot of credit has to be given to the picker for his ability. For their hard work and dedication to coon hunting to make their work pay off.

I counted 35 entries paid on 19 different dogs in Shabel camp. 16 cast wins counting 4 late round cast wins.

14 entries on 9 dif dogs for Engle camp with 8 cast wins including 3 late.

I'm sure I missed a couple my secretary skills are minimal at best.

Pretty good % for Engle and co. Shabel might have to win it twice to get his money back lol

Rick Marshall Randall Drew and JEFF Stallard got 3 in quarter finals Jeff doubled up on 3 Thor BOOGIE MAN and Setum up JOE RICk bought Randall out but is leaving his name on the papers that's how much he thinks of Randall Thor took 2nd. place lastnight 2 final fours in the other KCs Thor is here in Tn. with Hillbilly Delux Thor will be at the nationals next week.
