Opinions on tick prevention.

With tick diseases spreading like crazy I would like to know what everyone is using to keep the ticks off their dogs.
We've never really had a problem with ticks in my area until the last two years.
Now they're everywhere and are still bad even with our cold winters.
I've been using a flea/tick collar but still have to use spray sometimes.

I use SIMPARICA it's a pill and I buy the XL size (88 to 132 # ) My dogs weight about 50# each so I cut them in half. Saves money. I order them from Canadavet.com

Thanks for the information. I need something better than the collars.

I would also use a good spray on them before you cut them and before you load them back up. If you do that with a good preventative you shouldn't have a problem.
