Best track dog you've ever seen

What's the best track dog or line of dogs you've seen. Did they just tear themselves up with speed or did they have the knack of knowing where the coon was heading before they got there?

Never heard a thing more about them Buck. My neighbor had a beagle come up missing right after and someone over the hill from me had an English dog come up missing. The good news is two people were caught stealing dogs about 20 miles away. I hope this ends all the crap that was going on earlier. Thanks for asking! Hunting a young dog now, he's more frustrating than pleasurable most nights😒. Can't hunt tonight so I'm computer hunting

I like my river bend bred old female I have. She flat gets after one. But my male puts them up small trees and bushes. Yes out of hillbilly deluxe on top and hardwood Maggie on bottom.

I had one off gibbies lead and gibbies Maggie back in the late 90's. He was very fast. I didn't know what I had, too young and dumb!

Grnch Toby, he was out of my old Betty female and Double 00. Ive never seen anything like him on a track. He would take a track away from a dog and tree WAY ahead of them. Caught fox on the ground a few times and got me scratched from a NCh cast by treeing a fox. What ever was in front of him either climbed or got caught. Lost an eye in the woods, my buddy used to say he needed to wear a helmet in the woods. Just crazy fast.

The part of coonhunting that I enjoy the most is hearing a top track dog drive a track. A lot of dogs are fast on a hot track, but very few dogs can run a cold track with their headup. The best trackdogs consistently catch coon on the ground. The best trackdog that I'ved hunted with in the last five years is my Penney dog. At this time of year she will average treeing a coon every 9+ minutes strike to tree. I believe this is a recessive trait and the reason it is scarce is because it has to be inherited from both sides of the pedigree.

Track Dogs.....

After 37 years of Coon Hunting, I must say the Best Track Dogs I have seen....Both Dogs came off Silver Creek Seth.
Old Heart was ones name......She could Fly on a Track with her head in the air....She was Fast.
The other was my Toby dog, he was tight on the ground but could move a Track Fast........He was a Pleasure to hunt.
Tim
