Alpha 100 6.80 Update??

Has anyone had any issues with their alpha 100 after installing the 6.8 update?

No matter what Time I set my tracks to stay on the screen they just randomly disappear. What about yours?

People accuse me of being color blind. The truth is I will hunt red ones, blue ones, black and white ones, yellow ones, black and tan ones, or even brindle ones; Just as long as they are English!

Update

Since installing update continuously lose gps satellite signal and therefore ability to track the hounds, it was fine before the update, compass and all just disappears.

BOTH

Bruce i tried it both ways like you said to use the web updater. guy hunts with me hasn't had update installed, alpha is fine. mine cannot keep satellite signal with the new update for whatever reason. they are sending me a new handheld. i tried installing it several times, deleting collars, even reset handheld to factor specs with a full system delete. might just lay it up and use dogtra pathfinder.

.

Help me lean something here. When you lost signal did you push the off/on button on the handheld and see if the handheld has lost GPS signal or did you go to the information page for the dog and see GPS was gone. For the dog page it could be either and I just want to make sure it was the handheld.

power button

Bruce,

I did press the power button and satellite was red with 1 bar many many times. I actually have 2 alpha handhelds, the other unit does EXACTLY the same thing and i have not sent it in yet or asked for repair. I wanted to get the new one in hand first and go from there. I just got it last night and registered it and got my birds eye card in it and everything. I will add the collars tonight and check it out. Any tips or anything to try I will be glad to experiment on the other one since it is still acting up.
