54 Nite Hunters signed in on IN State Ground last evening?

I went over at lunch time and signed in on our local state ground for nite hunting and there was a tag end of the page from yesterday left showing the last hunter number signed in was 54..

Holy cow, 54 coon hunters on 10K acres in one evening..
Any of you other IN boys hunting Pigeon River think this was correct or did someone jump some slots? I signed in as number 5 yesterday around noon.. Wow..

Heard dogs running north and south of me, but nothing close.

Its a sad day to think that the coon hunter has been pushed to all the public state hunting, while the deer hunter get to hunt up all the private land. 50 years ago when the deer were not so plentiful, the DNR still took part of the coon hunters license fees to restock deer and now that same DNR is supportive of the coon hunter being pushed off the private land by the BIG MONEY deer hunters. Thanks again all you white tail greedy S%^A*Bichez.

And not just in Indiana.

Mr. Mayles truer words have never been spoken! Exactly the first thing that came to mind for me also. There is state land by my house I never hunted as a young man because I hated it. Today I thank god its there because its all I got left!!! I absolutely despize Deer hunters anymore and especially the 6 times a year urban cowboys that think we run their deer off coon hunting! They onviously havent spent much time studying this magical creature they are so obsessed with which is nothing more than a wild goat.

Deer hunters are crazy up here. Most freak out if you're hunting anywhere near their land lol but for some reason it doesn't bother them if you hunt their private land in spring and summer if only they knew that it doesn't matter what time of year.

Truly amazing that many guys nite hunting on the state ground.. I used to swear if that was all i had to hunt I'd quit.. LOL - those words have come back to bite me!! I still have about a dozen good drops to hunt on private, but have hunted state ground exclusively in MI and IN since Oct. 1.

After deer season if it's not froze up I'll hit my private ground spots..

Though i must say with all the folks signed in i've not heard another hound in any section i've hunted.. heard them north and south of me, but a good ways off...

Sure glad i have it to hunt!
